what was so special about them? what made them different from others? why were they admired?
i never understood why izuku wanted to be one, why he'd squeal out of excitement whenever one of them would come on tv, why he always imagined himself to be one, why he'd always pack his room with figurines of one specific blonde hero named all might.
i don't like heroes.
they didn't want to genuinely save people. they wanted the praises they got, the money, the fame.
they always wanted something. they never saved people just because. there was always something to be gotten after doing a righteous duty.
but that's the same thing as villains. they did horrible things because they wanted something.
whether it was money or revenge or a whole new society.
i've always found it strange. heroes were just people. people who fought other people for what they believed to be was bad things.
weren't they same?
heroes and villains they're all just people at the end of the day. both filled with good and evil. both corrupted with the idea that their views and ideals were better than the others.
heroes corrupted society with their insufferable need to find justice in everything.
