Ivette Midoriya absolutely hated heroes. The whole concept baffled her; how could those who declare themselves to be symbols of justice be so corrupted? How could society judge people based on their quirks and appearances? Fuck that. Ivette swore to...

IVETTE MIDORIYA STOOD behind her mother's legs, hiding away from her new classmates: a bunch of incompetent children. Smiles lit their faces, joyous expressions washing over them, the classroom filled with chatter, and the ambience quite whimsical.
"Go on," Inko urged softly, looking down at her innocent twins. "You'll be alright."
"Do we have to?" whispered Ivette, tightening her grip on her mother's dress. Tiny fists curled into the floral-printed fabric, shaking.
Inko laughed. "Yes. It's your first day of school."
"Don't worry," said the female teacher, crouching in front of the nervous twins. "We're all friends here." She extended her hands, welcoming the two with a warm smile.
Ivette and Izuku glanced at each other, a silent conversation spoken in their eyes. Izuku sucked in a breath and bravely stepped forward, taking the woman's hand. Her lips widened, and she turned to Ivette. Her mother gently prompted her, pressing a hand to her back. Ivette glanced upwards, seeing her mother's comforting smile. "I'll be here right when you're done," she reassured.
Ivette nodded, shakily accepting the teacher's outstretched hand.
"Now, come. Let's go meet everyone else."
Inko watched her children go with watery eyes, dabbing her tears with a plain white handkerchief she kept in her pocket.
They grow up so fast.

"Now, everyone." The adult clapped her hands. "Please work with those around you!"
Listening to the teacher, Ivette turned to the person beside her, a boy with spiky ash-blond hair and a toothy grin. He jerked his thumb to his chest. "My name's Katsuki!"
"Ivette," she mumbled, twiddling with her fingers. She glanced over at the table beside her, seeing Izuku chatting away with another kid in their class. Ivette frowned. She didn't like being away from him.
Bakugo, on the hand, was enthralled by the girl beside him. Green-coloured hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall flowing mildly, flaming as bright as a sunrise, and eyes as deep as the heart of an emerald sea, profound and innocent, appearing as an endless abyss.
She's just like the ones in the stories Oka-san reads.
"Princess!" he exclaimed spontaneously.
Ivette jumped in surprise, wide eyes darting to him. "Princess?" she questioned hesitantly, all her focus placed undeviatingly on him.
Bakugo continued to stare at her with sparkling eyes. "Mhm!"
