ivette midoriya the girl who didn't understand heroes
ever since she was little, ivette always wondered what was so fascinating about heroes, about people who risked their lives to save others? surely that's what everybody would do, right?
she would sit beside her brother and watch videos of a specific hero with a weird smile saving multiple people. izuku, her twin, would scream in awe, yelling the heroes infamous catchphrases with glee.
seeing izuku excited propagated her own, and she'd laugh and clap her hands, watching the boy jump around and imitate his actions.
heroes save people, he told her. they save them with a smile on their face.
so where was their hero?
the midoriya twins learnt early on that people weren't created equal, nor were they all nice. diagnosed as quirkless, izuku and ivette were ostracized from their classmates, deemed as weak, worthless, as nothing but dirt.
whilst izuku continued to aspire to be like his idolized hero, to see heroes as people of liberty and inspiration, of beacons of light, saviors of the day, ivette scoffed at them all.
heroes were corrupt. they wanted nothing more than money and fame.
ivette midoriya hated heroes.
nothing would change her mind.
at least, not until her soulmates come barreling into her life.
