Your POV

I entered the long grass, I was set on getting a Yamper though sadly they weren't found here. So I began looking for another pokemon, which I quickly found wild Bunnelby and Vulpix, "Which one should we catch, Eevee?" I asked the evolution pokemon next to me. 'Vee Eev, Eevee.' She nudged her face towards the Vulpix, the anticipation beamed from her eyes.

"Okay, let's go then." I smiled and walked up to the reddish-brown firefox pokemon and got its attention. "Hey Vulpix!" the response was the Vulpix going into a battle stance, a hesitant one though. "Ready Eevee?" Eevee mimicked the Vulpix and the two stared down each other.

"Okay, Eevee use Quick Attack." Eevee flashed at the firefox and rammed into it, knocking it back. The Vulpix used an Ember and missed because it was still disoriented from the previous attack. I noticed this and threw a Pokeball at the Vulpix, hitting its chest and encasing it inside.

So nerve-wracking! I hope it wants to stay. I thought, watching the Pokeball move twice. Three times. Click! I caught it! I caught a Vulpix! I rushed to the pokemon's Pokeball and let it out.

'Vulpix pix pix!' It looked up at me and its tail was down, showing it was nervous. "Hi Vulpix, meet Eevee. She's really sweet and gentle outside of battles. And I'm (y/n)." I introduced, the two pokemon instantly began sniffing the other and squeaking happily in their languages, well a pokemon is eased around other pokemon. I smiled.

I pulled out the Pokedex Professor Magnolia put in my phone and scanned the Vulpix. "So you're a boy Vulpix huh? Well, I guess it's good to know your gender." Vulpix came up to me and sniffed my hand when I went pet him. Quite the cautious one isn't he. I thought smoothing out his ruffled mahogany fur.

"Okay time to head back you two. Milo is probably already there making lunch." I picked up Vulpix, since he probably has a cautious nature, and the three of us made our way to the meetup spot.

We got back quite fast and my suspicion was right, Milo was making his awesome curry. I set down the firefox I was holding and walked over, "You catch any pokemon, Milo?" I asked the boy. He looked up from the pot and smiled, "I found an Oddish. It ran into a tree and got hit by an apple, poor thing." He gestured to the dark navy pokemon that was conversing with Gossefleur. "How bout you?"

"I caught a Vulpix, he was in the field near the train station. He got disoriented after a Quick Attack and gave me an opportunity to throw a Pokeball." I answered and my pokemon ran over, probably because they smelled the food. "And as usual, you manage to find yet another grass type," I added the comment with a giggle.

"I heard Vulpix are hard to catch," he stopped mid-sentence hearing the remark I made, "oh come on, you know grass types are my specialty." He retorted, no anger was laced in his voice though. I just sat down and played with the four pokemon, waiting for Milo to finish.

The Oddish sat in my lap, while Eevee was playing with Gossefleur and a nervous Vulpix. "So I'm guessing we're going past that abandoned tower to get to Motostoke," I said while playing with the sprouts on Oddish. "Well we are already in the Dappled Grove, so it would be the quickest way. Okay, it's ready to eat." He responded and I grabbed the plates from my pack and helped him make the plates.

"Mmm, it's good, Milo," I mumbled through the food in my mouth. I noticed that Eevee was trying to get Vulpix to eat, giving encouraging 'vees' and nudging the plate to him. Vulpix took a bite after a few tries and once he swallowed, he rapidly took more bites squealing happily. "Vulpix and Eevee think so too." I smiled.

"Well, I guess I'm tagging along the whole journey since you can't cook." He joked as he gathered the empty plates. "Yeah yeah, I think I'd starve if you didn't." I giggled in response.
