Milo's POV

I had managed to get (y/n) to stop crying and I took her out of the locker room, she was firmly holding my hand the entire time and I couldn't help but smile at that.

The moment we walked through the elevator doors, we were met by Nessa. I felt an arm wrap around me and I already knew who it was, wrapping mine around her in return.

"What happened, (y/n)?" Nessa rushed forward, a worry written expression painted on her face and her voice threaded with concern. I heard a small whimper and Nessa pulled the girl from my side, glaring at me like I had done something wrong. "If he did anything I sw-"

"He didn't do anything Nessa, it's just I got some bad news right before the match." (Y/n) spoke up and escaped Nessa's hug, walking out of the stadium and I'm guessing to the hotel or home.

"I wonder what happened, poor girl." Nessa looked to me and I sighed sadly, should I tell her, I looked back to the door, I shouldn't, she'll tell her when she's ready.

"She'll speak up when's she feels like it." I said simply and returned to the stands, knowing I wouldn't be able to talk to her now.

Your POV

I quickly made my way to the take off place for the flying taxis and took out Noivern, climbing on his back and signaling him to fly.

'Noivern?'

"We're going home." I said blankly.

'Vern?'

"Because we are and I'll tell you when I can speak to the whole team."

Noivern nodded and kept flying, I felt tears stream down my face and making my skin sting from the rushing wind. Why now of all times, when I was so close and I showed the whole of Galar weakness. I bet Axle was having a field day making fun of me going down without a fight and... My negative thoughts just tracked on and on, like the off switch was buried under a sea of my tears.

I sniffled as I just barely heard Noivern land, getting off and walking in my house. Dad was gone, as usual, good I don't have to explain again but, he needs to know. I sighed as my thoughts moved from negative to contradictory and I couldn't make up a decision. Most people wouldn't be like this if they found out their brother had died, a brother who never returned after leaving home when they were four. But Lance always held a close spot in my heart, he was just like Milo, putting my own health and emotions before his own and always keeping his cool when I was acting extremely hyperactive.

"Why is the world always against me?" I asked nobody as I blindly shoved a good amount of clothes and a couple of important pictures in my suitcase.

"What makes you say that?"

I froze, am I going insane?! I slowly turned to the doorway of my room and saw Dad. I kept quiet and walked past him, like my body was on it's own course, "You just going to ignore your own father?"

I huffed and looked up, mouthing a sorry to him and grabbed my toothbrush and other needed objects. "(y/n)," he stopped me from walking past him again, "you're acting like Lance did before he left us. What's wrong?"

That broke me and I dropped the items I held, another ocean of tears breaking through the dam I built. "Dad," I looked up at the (e/c) man, " Lance is gone." I forced out.

Dad nodded and sighed, "I know he's gone. A couple friends of mine told me, they live in Kalos." I was a bit surprised he already knew but, then knelt down to pick up the fallen items and Dad then continued, "You're leaving aren't you?" I nodded, "Here let me help you pack."

To say I wasn't surprised that Dad wasn't angry would be a lie, I finally decided to voice my question, "Aren't you mad?" I asked as I placed a picture of my friends and I in the suitcase.

"Why would I be angry?"

"I'm leaving and when Lance left you looked about ready to tear his head off, I just thought you would've been trying to make me stay." I explained.

"Well for one, I know you need to see him even if he can't speak back and two, I can always trust you'll come back. You would get home sick and come back the moment you realize it." He chuckled and zipped up the case, "Oh and I can keep your team for you if you want them to stay that is."

"I plan on keeping everyone but Glaceon and Togetic here, I'm probably going to be helping my sister in law get back on her feet and I don't need their energy during that process. Thank you for that." I smiled and then walked outside, taking the team out.

They all looked around and gave me questioning looks, "Hey I know you won't like the news but, I'm leaving to Kalos and I'm only taking Glaceon and Togetic. Before you get angry, it's because my brother died and I will be helping his wife, all of your antics and shenanigans wouldn't be helpful." They all nodded in understanding and said their goodbyes to us all, then I gave Dad their pokeballs once I got inside.

"I'll take good care of them." He reassured and I nodded.

"If you can't handle them I'm sure Milo would be glad to take them, but Boltund is the most troublesome of the four and Ninetails usually gets fed up after playing with him or watching. Noivern hates sleeping inside and if you don't find him in the backyard when you wake up he's probably with a herd of Wooloo, Lucario is one of the easiest to care for but, make sure you keep a close watch on his actions he might start acting up without Glaceon. Remember this, don't keep them cooped up in their pokeballs. I'm going now, I should be back in a year at least. Bye!" I informed Dad with all that as we walked to the front door and when I finished, I was down the steps with Glaceon and Togetic.

I looked at the time, 3:00, good I still have time before the plane leaves, I had gotten the earliest flight I could get as I packed and I got on the train to Wyndon.

'Mom, Togetic To Dad?' Togetic asked me and I looked at her with confusion, "I can call him, the airport isn't far from the stadium." I answered and pulled out my phone, then saw us leave Turffield.

"Goodbye Turffield."

Alright not much to say so
