Chapter 48: Not Goodbye, See You later

Your POV

I sat on a bench and waited for my plane, sadness still filled my mind but I wasn't the full on streaming tears sad anymore. Hurry up you guys, my plane leaves soon. I kept an eye on the entrance for my friends and the clock was 3:45, my plane left at 4:00.

As if reading my mind, my friends entered the doors and instantly saw me. "Hey (y/n)! Why didn't you tell us earlier?" Raihan questioned the moment he reached my position, Gordie spoke after, "Also why are you leaving?"

I sighed, "One this is all because of sudden news and the news I got was my big brother died, I never wanted to go to Kalos but I feel entitled to help his wife back on her feet. I'm sorry for not telling you earlier."

Leon walked up and smiled, "So that's why you forfeited, I was looking forward to battling you but now I know why and I understand. But you would have been more of a challenge than Raihan, I beat him easily." He placed a hand on my shoulder.

"So your champion huh? I think you deserve it." I smiled and Nessa was next.

"I'm sorry for you but, don't worry about us. I'll make sure of it and keep the peace. " the blue eyed girl smiled and hugged me, Bea only nodded with a smile and I returned it.

"Hey (y/n), don't do anything stupid alright." Piers huffed and gave a rare smile.

"I promise I won't." I smiled back and they all hugged me, when I was freed I noticed Milo at the back.

Nessa walked back to him and pushed him forward, then I realized the objects in his hand. A shiny stone and a love ball. "(y/n) I.... Here." He gave me the items, " The shiny stone is for Togetic and well I found another Applin, I wanted to give it to you." he then looked away sadly, I huffed and hugged him.

"Thank you very much, not just for these but for your determination to help me when I was broken and your never ending kindness towards me." I spoke softly and held my eyes shut, just savoring the moment and I then felt the most surprising thing.

My eyes shot open and I bursted red, Milo kissed me! I was frozen in shock and when he pulled away, he hugged me again, "I know its a bit late but, I wanted to say I like you - no I love you very very much. It's okay if you don't like me back, I just want you to be happy." The boy murmured and I smiled.

"I guess you owe me a date when I get back, Milo." I giggled and pulled away when I heard the call for my flight, then waved to them all as I walked to my plane, "Don't look so sad, I'm not saying goodbye I'm saying see you later."

Before I walked through the door, I turned around and yelled, "You owe me Milo, don't forget!!" I saw the boy turn red and I giggled as I entered the plane.

Two days later

I walked down the steps of the plane and then heard some kid yell, "HEY KALOS REGION, I'M ASH KETCHUM AND I'M GOING TO BE A POKEMON MASTER!!!" Seriously who lost their kid? I huffed and Glaceon did the same, Togetic was asleep in my arms and didn't even move after that loud kid yelled.

I was met by a woman with two kids, "Hey you're (y/n), right?" She asked, oh yeah I called her back to tell her I was flying here.

"Yeah I am."

I then got a good look at the trio, Ruby, the woman, was pale skinned and had long red hair with tired looking amber eyes. The older of the two kids, a girl with ocean blue eyes and a dark mahogany mop of hair while her younger brother, he was amber eyed with red hair. If I was honest, all three of them looked extremely disheveled and broken.

Ruby then hugged me, "Oh thank Arceus you're here, when Lance died I didn't think I would be able to keep going and when he told me about you, oh thank heavens." She poured out with a grateful tinge in her voice and I smiled.

"Hey it's alright, I feel terrible about it too but, I can help you out until you're stable in life again. How about you introduce me to my niece and nephew, I'm guessing, and you show me your house?" I pulled away and the red haired woman nodded, drying her tears and gesturing for the two to come up.

"Meet Lily and Quint." The two said hello and she then led me out of the airport and through the streets of Lumiouse City.

The house she stopped at was on the outskirts of the huge city, a small cottage with four rooms. The outside was gorgeous, with trees and plants all around. But once we entered the home, a saddened feel washed over me and I noticed the place was a bit messy. Honestly I understand it all, losing a father and a husband is a terrible feeling and I'm not surprised it's all disheveled like their appearances.

"Well," I looked to Ruby as she paused, "welcome to Kalos I guess."

MILO DID IT!!!!! Okay I'll calm the fangirl down. Man I'm trying to keep this good and it's hard! Not much else to say
