In the end, Lee was right. The issue with the ghost type leader took an hour or so to solve, though the eggplant battled both leaders back to back and left. Bea said the entire issue revolved around symmetry, honestly I don't get it. But, I did learn the two gym leaders' names. The fighting type leader was named Dwayne and the ghost type leader Kid, both were guys.

Now I was waiting to challenge Kid first, mostly because I wanted to see how this guy manages to have issues with symmetry. Though I was kinda worried about my type matchups, my strategy was to poison them with the move poison powder that I taught Cherubi and dynamax Glaceon in the end. I'd work out the rest during battle.

"Yeah I know, you guys." I snapped from thought and looked down to see my pokemon watching me. We were practicing in a clearing near the stadium and I allowed my thoughts to wander.

The team was doing really good if I was honest and not trying to be cocky but, I don't think either gym leader stands a chance. 'Tund Bolt ' I looked over to see Boltund sparring with Vulpix, it was really uncharacteristic of Vulpix to willingly spar with another pokemon. 'Vulpix Vul!' I watched the spar continue, waiting to step in if needed and end the battle.

Vulpix was actually doing much better than Boltund, for a moment I thought I heard Vulpix say Ninetails once. Suddenly, I saw Vulpix glow and shine like Glaceon and Boltund did when they evolved. 'Ninetails!' The shimmering subsided and the mahogany fur of Vulpix was no longer, now it was a creamy ivory color.

'Nine?' The former Vulpix questioned and sniffed Boltund, who was laying on his side. Then he poked his nose in the black stripe on Boltund's side and Boltund jolted up in a flash, growling with narrowed eyes. I laughed and walked over to the pair of canine like pokemon, ruffling the fur on both of their heads. "Wow, look at you Ninetails. Now you look much stronger, like you wanted after you saw Kabu's Ninetails." I smiled at the fox pokemon, bending my knees so I was eye level with him. 'Tails!' He barked and melted into my hand when I started petting him, Boltund, forever being a puppy in energy, tackled Ninetails and brought me down with them.

Glaceon shot a flurry of snow at the pair, catching their attention and allowing me to escape the pile of fur. 'Glaceon Glac!' The ice blue pokemon scolded with an unquestioned authority, causing the pair to cower in fear. They were scared of Glaceon when she was angry even though they were twice her height, Milo says she learned it from me and I agreed.

Cherubi waddled up to me and sang out, she had been practicing her singing to Noibat. I had learned that Cherubi's singing couldn't keep Noibat asleep for very long, a minute or two at the most. And bonus! It kept Noibat occupied and kept him from interrupting the other's training with his energy. The moment Cherubi started singing, I felt really drowsy and exhausted, that was a good thing. My fatigue left when she stopped, noticing my instantaneous drowsiness. "Amazing job, Cherubi! Last time, it took a minute to get me tired, you can take a break if you want." I praised, picking up the little berry like pokemon and placing her on my shoulder.

'NOIBATTT!!' The now familiar screech sounded and as usual, the lavender colored bat flew into my arms. "What is it, Noibat? Did Glaceon start scolding you again?" I asked and stroked my hand across his spiky, purple fur, which the question earned a quiet 'bat' and a nod. "You know you can't be so hyper all the time, sooner or later you might get hurt because of it. Glaceon is just trying to get you to understand that." I sighed and looked to Glaceon, who nodded at my answer. Noibat nodded and flew off to play with Boltund and Ninetails.

"Hey you guys, ten more minutes and then we're going back to the stadium." I called to the wrestling boys, who all nodded and went back to rough housing.
