Third person

The group of people and pokemon made camp near a small lake. They finished dinner a few minutes ago and were cleaning up, "Hey (y/n), can you pass me another plate?" The boy asked and was handed an empty plate, "That was the last one, I'll get the fire more wood." (Y/n) went off to find sticks for the crackling flame. Milo shook his head, "I hope she can handle herself." He then started packing up.

"Alright now sticks." The (h/c) haired girl searched the ground, her (e/c) orbs darting everywhere to find a fallen branch. She quickly found a bunch and grabbed as many as she could carry, rushing back to the camp.

"OUCH!! Splinter!" She hissed in pain when the girl dropped the sticks by the fire, sitting on the ground and clenching her palm. Milo's face dropped when he heard the hiss and walked over to where his friend was sat, "You want help getting it out?"

"As if your giant hands could do that, I'll get it out." She joked, "If I can't do it then I'll ask Cherubi for help." The bright eyed girl smiled. The boy still stayed next to her, she's fine, I'm not overreacting am I?

"You sure you don't want help?" Milo pressed quietly, still unsure if his help was needed. (Y/n) nodded her head, her (h/l) (h/c) hair shaking against her face, "I got the splinter out already." Milo let out a sigh and checked the time on his phone, "Hey it's almost 10:30, you should sleep."

"Already? But, I got stuff to make s'mores." She complained and rummaged through her bag, pulling out marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. "Alright, you can have s'mores." Milo gave in and handed the short girl a stick.

After a few minutes, (y/n) gave Milo a s'more, "I'm not gonna have them all to myself." She said with a smile, somehow the girl managed to get chocolate on her nose. "Thanks," The freckle covered boy lifted a hand and wiped the chocolate off her nose, "sorry you had something on your nose." He smiled warmly, his face illuminated by the golden rays of the fire. This time it was (y/n)'s turn to freeze up, she stared wide eyed at him.

( "CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT!!" Raihan and Gordie start singing terribly. "Shut up you idiots, go eat a table or something." I shoved them out of the room.)

Milo got confused, did I do something wrong? What if I made it awkward! His eyes retreated their focus to the safety of the ground, "I'm sorry." He apologized though anger was the furthest thing from what (y/n) felt.

What is this? My heart just soared, I didn't think I'd feel this way ever again. The girl flushed as the suggestions of why her heart sped up came rolling through her head, (Heh You see me rollin'). "I-it's o-o-okay."  She stammered out, getting up and retreating to the confines of her (f/c) tent.

After a bit, Milo finished packing up everything since he put it on hold because (y/n) got a splinter. I should check on her, even his mental voice sounded worried. The young farmer walked up to her tent, "Hey, are you okay? I didn't mean to..." He took a breath, "I screwed up didn't I?" His voice barely a whisper.

A shuffle of footsteps made their way to the opening of the tent, "You didn't do anything, Milo. Don't blame yourself, nothing is wrong." A soft voice sounded on the other side of the tent. Now this was something Milo couldn't let slide, "No, you aren't fine. I know something is troubling you and your don't want me to worry." He raised his voice the smallest bit to put emphasis on his statement. He didn't get an answer. "Please just tell me what's wrong," Milo looked to the ground and clenched his fists, "you don't know how much it tears me up knowing you aren't doing okay." He mumbled out and began walking back knowing how stubborn she was, if she didn't want to talk she wouldn't talk.

"Milo, wait." The boy looked back to see his friend standing in the opening of the tent. "I'll talk..." She muttered with a shaky voice. Milo felt his heart drop into his stomach at the tone of voice his friend held, "You sound terrible, (n/n)." The pink orange haired farmer placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Aren't you smart, captain obvious." She joked, "How are you able to joke around now?" Milo shook his head and sat down, bringing (y/n) with him. "Okay now tell me what's wrong."

(Y/n) shivered and began speaking, "When you did that..... I-it made me feel how I used to feel when mom and Lance were here. I don't know what it did but.... I-i just... Broke." She looked away, her (e/c) eyes revealed how broken she was. She continued explaining and a memory played through Milo's mind.

(Flashback Milo's POV)

A year after the time I fell out of the tree, (y/n) went into the faze of not responding again and I did my best to get her back to normal. So one day I asked my mother if she could take us to the beach, of course she said yes.

That's what we did, though (y/n) didn't do much. I just went along with it and did what she wanted to do. "Hey why don't we build sand castles?" When I suggested that her (e/c) eyes lit up the smallest bit. I smiled and handed her a shovel, "I can get the water, the bucket is heavy when it's full of water."

She began digging up the sand and piling it into a mound, when I came back my friend had dug a very noticeable hole in the ground. "Okay I think that's enough, (y/n)." She had the smallest smile etched in her face, if you weren't right in front of her it was invisible. The action caused my smile to broaden, "You can help pour the water if you want." I was extremely happy that she wasn't ignoring me and holing up in her mind.

(Y/n) nodded and placed her thin hands on the pail, slowly tipping it onto the sand pile. We continued with our tower of sand and my friend mumbled something. "Sand castles are like people, they're here for a small amount of time and make our lives beautiful. But when the tide comes in, they disappear and take the beauty away." I was shocked she said something, but what she said wasn't right.

"Not entirely true, (y/n), if you build your sand castle far enough from the shore, it'll stay until the tide comes in far enough. Like now, ours is far from the shore and the tide can't knock it down. And people are like that, if you build your bonds up in the right place that person will stay for a long time." I corrected gently, she looked up from the ground and directly at me.

"You aren't going to leave me alone like mom and Lance?" She breathed out. I shook my head and pulled her close.

"I won't ever leave you."

(End of flashback third person)

Milo pulled (y/n) into a hug as she rambled, "If you're worried you'll be left, you won't. (Y/n), I won't ever leave." That broke the barrier the girl had put up to block her tears. He made circles on her back as her tears soaked into his shirt, humming softly.

"You promise?" She whispered into his shirt, is that even a question? "I promise, I'll always stay even if nobody else does."

Another chapter, sorry about saying that the fact thing about (y/n) and the others wasn't necessary. If you were confused about some of the stuff in the chapter the facts upload is before A Day With Kabu. That's all for now
