The group of friends waited for their turn to challenge the gym, you know the usual. "This challenge must be a lot harder if we have to wait this long." Raihan was being impatient as normal. "I heard that you have to use your brain for the challenge, I bet that's why." Bea suggested, (y/n) smirked at Raihan. "I feel bad for the people who don't have a brain, I'm looking at you Raihan." She snickered at the the blue eyed boy with Eevee. "Are you suggesting I don't have a brain?!" He retorted, "What!? You actually could understand what I said?" She gave a gasp before the sarcastic remark. Gordie was clenching his stomach, dying of laughter. Piers and Milo were just watching the ordeal, talking about who knows what.
"Bye Gramma!" Nessa called before she turned around to come over. "Gramma?" (Y/n) questioned, the others also held questioning gazes. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. The water type gym leader title has been passed down my family for quite some time now. My Gramma is the current gym leader and I'm next in line." Nessa explained while sitting down. "Well I'm gonna challenge the gym before Mr. No Brain goes." (Y/n) gestured smugly to Raihan and walked to the entrance. "Okay then, good luck!" Nessa encouraged along with wishes of luck from the others.
"Are you ready to challenge the water gym?" The instructor asked, the (e/c) eyed girl checked her pokeballs. First Yamper, Cherubi, Eevee, and if it must come to it Vulpix. "Yep, I'm ready." She nodded determinedly, the instructor just gestured for her to follow.
"To get to the battle field you must use your intelligence to get through the water puzzle. To stop and open the water pipes, press the button and it will either block or release water from a matching colored pipe." She explained and left the girl to figure out the puzzle.
"Hmmmm, so I probably need to get those pipes in the middle blocked since that's most likely the entrance." The girl studied the pipes and buttons, 'Eev Eevee!' The brown and creme pokemon called from her trainer's shoulder. They let (y/n) keep Eevee out since Eevee wouldn't be an issue. "Yeah let's go." The (h/c) haired girl responded to the pokemon.
I'm going to time skip to the last part of the maze
After about 10 minutes of figuring out the path, excluding pokemon battles, (y/n) and Eevee came to the last stretch. "Okay only three buttons left, let's see." She thought for a moment, "Okay so I'm guessing I need to press the blue then... Red?" The girl looked to Eevee for input, 'Eevee vee!' The evolution pokemon agreed. "That leaves the yellow button, it must be last."
Following the order she set for herself, they cleared the way. Running up the stairs and going through the entrance.
"Gym number two, you ready Eevee?" The challenger held a determined look in her sparkling (e/c) eyes. 'Eevee.' Her partner returned the same determined look and the pair proceeded to the field.
An older women took the gym leader position and greeted (y/n), she wasn't very tall and had blue hair. "Hello gym challenger, I am Juvia the Hulbury gym leader. Now don't think little of me because I'm older, you best be ready cause my pokemon and I will blow you out of the water!" She shouted, throwing out a pokeball.
Out came a Shellder, "Alright Yamper, let's do this!" (Y/n) sent out the electric puppy, 'Yamp Yamp!' He barked and and started a face off with Shellder.
"Okay, Yamper, use Quick Attack!" She shouted and Yamper rushed at the Shellder, " Shellder, use Horn Attack!" Juvia commanded the shell pokemon. "Keep going and dodge it!" Yamper kept rushing and ducked under the flying horn, then rammed into Shellder. "Okay now use Nuzzle while you're still in close quarters!" Bolts of electricity came from Yamper and shocked the shell pokemon before it could dodge it, causing it to faint.
"Great job Yamper! Now come back," (y/n) called, Yamper shook his head and went back to position. "Err okay?" She watched as the leader called Shellder back and pulled out another pokeball.
"Go, Goldeen!" A orange and white fish pokemon appeared on the field. It was their turn to attack, "Goldeen use Water Gun." The blunette spoke. 'Gold Goldeen.' It shot out a blast of water at Yamper, in that moment, an idea popped into (y/n)'s head. "Okay Yamper you have to trust me on this, I want you to send electricity through the water blast." She told the electric puppy, he barked in confusion but did as told. Sending a burst of energy into the water, the electricity travelled through it and shocked Goldeen. The fish didn't faint and looked to it's trainer for a command, "Goldeen wait," she voiced. "Time for the finishing blow, Yamper use Nuzzle!" The (h/c)nette shouted out and Yamper rushed to shock Goldeen. "Now, use T-" Juvia stopped in shock as the Yamper started glowing. Goldeen started to grow nervous since it's trainer didn't finish her command, the glowing figure started changing form with each stride. When the two pokemon made contact, the glowing figure barked and shocked Goldeen with a huge amount of electricity. When it leaped back, the glowing subsided and revealed a Boltund. 'Bolt Bolt!' He barked and tackled (y/n), the crowd roared at the evolution taking place. After it died down, Juvia called back her fainted pokemon and pulled out one last pokeball.
"It's been a long time since I've seen an evolution during battle, let's see if your Boltund can handle my last pokemon." She sent out a Wishwashi. "Wishiwashi, dynamax!" She shouted and called back the small fish, throwing a giant pokeball behind her. "Can you keep going?" The newly evolved Boltund barked and leaped into position. "Okay time to dynamax!" Copying the motions of Juvia, she threw back the pokeball and out came a dynamaxed Boltund. "Wishiwashi, use Max Geyser!" The giant school of fish shot a massive burst of water under Boltund. "Hang in there Boltund, use Max Electricity!" Boltund returned the damage to Wishiwashi with giant bolts of lightning crashing down on the fish. "Use Max Geyser/Electricity again!" Both sides shouted and the moves were repeated, this time an explosion was heard from either side. The crowd fell quiet in a suspenseful silence...
A double knockout! Both sides were fainted and normal sized, "Boltund!" (Y/n) rushed to the fainted pokemon's side and called him back. The speaker sounded, "A double knockout! What an incredible match, though you must be wondering what won." The (h/l) haired girl looked up to the screen, "In the match, if a double knockout happens, the one with pokemon still in their reserve wins!" The speaker explained.
It was simple to see who won, the two met in the center of the field and shook hands. "Congratulations on beating me, trainer, and as proof of winning, the water badge." Juvia smiled at the girl in front of her, "Now go on, I have more challengers to battle."
'Eevee!' (Y/n)'s partner squeaked happily, "Yeah Eevee that match was awesome." She smiled, 'Vee Eev!' "Boltund? Well let's just say Boltund gave us a shocking revelation."
New chapter! So yeah Yamper evolved that's all I have to say now. So with that

Raihan: why was I getting teased? Why not Gordie?

Me: just get out. ALSO GORDIE PUT THE GOD DAMN PEN DOWN!!!
Both bois: *shrieks and runs out*
