Your POV
After who knows how long, we finally got out of the stadium. I was bored out of my mind and I may or may not have yelled, "I'm free!" So loudly I'm sure that even another region could hear me. Yeahhh not my proudest moment but, hey it's done and I can't do anything about it.
"How are we supposed to navigate through here, if we can't even see." Milo murmured and I giggled, "What's so funny?" I gave a broad smile and ran up to a giant green mushroom, tapping it and making it glow like a nightlight.
"I thought you knew this, cause now you're getting a science lesson." I ran back to my broad shouldered friend and started explaining, "These mushrooms glow in the dark because they're bioluminescent and when you tap them they glow even brighter." I tapped another mushroom when we passed it, giving off more light. Milo hummed in response and I felt him clasp his hand on mine, I felt a little heat on my cheeks at the action.
"The Glimwood Tangle is easy to get lost in, I just don't want you to get lost." He answered my unasked question, I was quite happy that we were keeping our pokemon in their pokeballs right now. It was better to keep them in the pokeballs rather than out and then possibly getting lost.
Suddenly, I heard a loud distressed cry, "Milo, that sounded like a pokemon!" I had worry blooming in my voice and ripped my hand from Milo's, running in the direction of the sound. What I found was a little egg that contained a pale yellow pokemon in it and a trainer who had a mess of blue for hair.
In the trainer's appearance besides the blue hair, I'm guessing it was a guy, he had silvery gold eyes and pale skin. The guy was taller than me but, I wouldn't say as tall as Milo(Milo is a tall boi in the story). He wore a deep red t-shirt with a fire symbol and black jeans, he had red tennis shoes and a gray bag with the handle stretched over his neck. I instantly felt a troublesome aura when I approached the guy, "Hey! Was that your pokemon who just cried out?"
The boy turned and faced me directly, "Yeah, what's it to you?" He held a snarky voice and it has a slight hiss in it, this guy was bad news.
"Shouldn't you be, I dunno, comforting your pokemon? Because it obviously sounds stressed and looks very nervous." I narrowed my eyes slightly and furrowed my brows, when I did this I saw the pokemon cower behind a few blades of tall grass. My harsh gaze softened when I looked to the small creature, then I looked back to the boy, "How badly have you been treating your pokemon? If you were treating it well, this Togepi would be running up to greet me. Not cowering behind some grass. Who do you think you are!?" My voice was low and deadly, I couldn't stand seeing such a young pokemon act this way.
"Who do I think I am? Don't make me laugh, short stack. The names Axle and it's my Togepi, you shouldn't concern yourself with any pokemon but your own." He smirked when I glared even harder at the sound of him calling me short stack, "Also if you must know, this pokemon here is useless to train. Can't learn a single move to cause damage, I was planning on leaving her here and if she doesn't make it. Well... She doesn't make it." What the hell is wrong with this guy?! He's a total psycho if he thinks he can treat a pokemon like that!
"(y/n)!" I heard a familiar voice sound, I turned around to see Milo. "Hey why'd you run off like that? I just said it was easy to get lost in here." He sounded very nervous but his nerves disappeared when he saw Axle.
"This guy here was planning on leaving Togepi in the Glimwood Tangle by herself! He also says she's not worth training and has been treating her terribly!" I was furious and Milo gave a glare at Axle, he wasn't happy about the dude either.
"So that was a cry we heard," Milo then whispered to me, "I know you want to save Togepi but, this guy obviously won't let us near her." I wasn't paying attention, I was too busy planning to get Togepi back.
Maybe I can overwhelm him and get Togepi back or I could punch him in the gut..... I went through tons of ideas but, settled with punching him since he probably has really strong pokemon.
I rushed forward and rammed my fist into his side, the force knocking Axle to the ground. "Gahh, are you insane!?" He screeched just before he ate dirt, I looked down at him.
"You say I'm insane, I say I'm creative in the mind." I smiled and scooped up the Togepi, giving her a warm smile. "Alright, Milo. We can go now." I looked up to the peach haired boy, who was shocked by the measures I took to get the little pokemon back.
'Toge Togepi?' I looked down at the Togepi who was questioning what would happen to her, "You can stay with us, we won't treat you like that guy." I answered softly, 'Gepi.' She looked up at me, her eyes wide and curious. "Well, Togepi, I sort of know what it feels like to be the abandoned. But that's a story for another day."
"Hey, (n/n)?" The farmer was watching me and Togepi, I hummed in response and looked up to him. "You're acting like a mom." He chuckled and poked my arm, I giggled.
"Is that a bad thing?" I asked and looked back to the egg pokemon, he just gave a sideways glance and let out a happy sigh.
"It's really cute, actually."
