Chapter 50: Here In The Garden

Your POV

I walked off the plane and looked around, same old Galar. I smiled and Togekiss did a flip in the air, "I can't wait to see Dad! Big sister Glaceon also really wants to see Lucario." I giggled and Glaceon turned red.

"Well then let's go!" I rushed them and we all hurried out of the airport, "I wonder if Leon is still the champion." I voiced when I saw Wyndon stadium and Glaceon replied with an, I doubt it.

It was still quite early in the morning and I was right about the gym challenge starting today, maybe I should see the orientation, yeah that's what I'll do. I smiled and we took a flying taxi home.

The moment I got off I saw someone I know very well, "Hey Arin!" I shouted and got his attention.

"Do I know you?"

"Aww it's only been five years, don't you recognize me?" I sighed when he shook his head, "Here let me give you a hint, Milo's future girlfriend as you call me."

His face went from confusion to happiness, "Man you changed a lot, (y/n). Also I have news for you." I gestured for him to go on, "I'm no longer a gym leader, I retired."

"Funny I retired from the police force in Kalos a few days before my plane ride, but anyway who is the new one?"

"Are you going to the orientation for gym challengers? Because if you are then I won't tell you." He then had to finish up some things and I went home.

Nobody was home so I just huffed and left to the train station, I can say hi to Dad later. Getting a ticket to Motostoke and riding there, Togekiss couldn't contain her excitement while Glaceon was just as excited but held it in.

"Alright Togekiss, no screaming from the stands okay. If you want to yell something instead, whisper it to me and watch." I told Togekiss as we entered the stadium, Kabu's stadium. We still had an hour to wait and I decided to check out Motostoke, after we got a seat saved.

I looked at the time after a bit, better start heading back now. I then called my pokemon back and we made our way to the stadium. Though I met another very familiar person, a person with fluffy eggplant colored hair and gold eyes.

"(y/n), is that you?" I turned around and saw an older face but nonetheless still recognised by me.

"Yeah I'm (y/n)... Wait Lee?" I returned the question and he nodded.

"You look different and... Wait what happened to your arm!?" He then noticed the permanent scar of a lost arm and I sighed.

"Not now Lee, I'll explain later because now I'm off to watch the orientation or I'll be late." I huffed and smiled before leaving for the gym again.

Glaceon, Togekiss, and I got front row seats and we had a great view of the pitch. I saw Chairman Rose do a speech and the trainers came onto pitch, I remember when my friends and I did this, I held Milo's hand the entire time. I smiled at the memory and they called for the gym leaders, my eyes grew wide in shock.

All of my friends were the gym leaders! My eyes fell on each one and then I saw Milo, he looked a little nervous like usual. Wait his gym is first, so if I wanna see him before the trainers then I'll need to leave as soon as this is over, I thought and the orientation ended soon after.

Time Skip

I made my way to the stadium, stupid right? Well I didn't think of that, the fact he'd probably be setting up for the challenge.

"Linoone! Wait up!" I heard a voice shout and turned to make direct contact with a Linoone, getting tackled in licks and happy barks. "Oh miss are you okay?"

I was freed from the hyperactive badger and sat up, "I think," I saw who the guy was and blushed, "Wait farmer boy?" I used an old nickname out of habit and the peach haired man chuckled, helping me up.

"I don't think anyone has called me that in forever but, she left years ago." He smiled but a hint of sadness was held in his eyes and I frowned but, decided to have a bit of fun with this.

"Well, where'd she go?" I asked and started conversation as we walked to the stadium.

"Kalos."

"Why did she leave?"

"Her brother died there."

I took a sharp breath in, "Okay tell me this, what do you owe this girl?" I asked.

"Wait, how do you know I owe her anything?" He started catching on a little and I smirked.

I leaned forward with a giggle, "You owe me a date, farmer boy. Or did you forget already?"

He looked surprised and then realized, "(y/n)?"

"You figured it out, you dummy."

"Sorry I didn't recognize you, (n/n)."

We continued talking and he told me to meet him in the garden around 6:00. We soon were forced to part ways because of the gym challenge and I decided to go home and unpack, I wouldn't be able to see Dad until late because he probably won't be off of work until 9:00.

Togekiss was excited once I let her out, "Is Mom going to marry Dad!?" She squealed out and I shook my head.

"Not now but maybe in the future." I smiled and asked the two to help me choose my clothes, we ended up choosing nothing too fancy. It was a nice, (f/c) shirt with short sleeves and a pair of my nicer black jeans, I fixed my (h/l) (h/c) hair and by the time I finished all this it was about 5:30.

"Glaceon I expect Togekiss asleep when I get back. Okay." I told them and Glaceon replied with a nod, I said goodbye and left.

When I made it to the garden I gasped, this can't be the same place. I thought as I walked down the path to find Milo.

"Don't tell me you did all this Milo." I smiled and gestured to the gorgeous flowers and Morelull, Cherubi, and other small pokemon in them.

"Wait you don't like it?" He responded quietly and sadness laced his voice.

I hugged him and shook my head, "I love it." I whispered.

So apparently this was the date he owes me, not that I'm complaining because I loved it. We spent the time catching up and it ended with me leaning on his shoulder as we watched the sun set.

"Hey (y/n), can I ask you something?" Milo suddenly spoke and I hummed in response. "W-would you mind.... If I kissed you again?" The second part was barely a whisper but I laughed and moved in front of him.

"You don't have to ask Milo, I'll always say yes." I smiled as he leaned towards me and felt our lips meet, I just melted into his the moment they touched mine. It was like time stood still and when he pulled away, I noticed a huge blush on his face.

"Thank you." I heard him mumble.

"For what? The kiss?" I was confused he thanked me, I froze when he embraced me tightly.

"No for coming back, (y/n). "
