Anakin and Rex landed on Onderon less than half a rotation after Mr. Lux made the holo-transmission.

A lady who called herself Jupa waited for them at the landing bay, and led the two men to the front entrance of King Dendup's gorgeous palace. Both the Jedi Knight and the clone trooper recalled this particular building from Onderon's rebellion.

Excitement pulsed through Anakin Skywalker. I'm going to see Snips again.

He wanted her to come back to the Order. The feeling of emptiness and longing was almost too much to bear, even for Anakin.

But he knew that she couldn't.

Jupa walked them down a corridor before pointing them to the direction of what Rex thought was Ahsoka's quarters. Both soldiers nodded in thanks and went right.

"What if she doesn't want to see me, Rex?" Anakin asked as the two strutted to his Padawan's room.

"I'm sure she will. You're not the reason she left," Rex replied reassuringly.

"I hope you're right." Anakin massaged his temples and let out a sigh. "I don't care if she rejoins. I have to see her again."

Before the two knew it, they found Ahsoka's quarters. Sensing Ahsoka's force presence, Anakin—without bothering to knock—waltzed in.

Looking up to see who the intruder was, Ahsoka's gaze fell onto the face of her former master. Eyes welling up with hot tears, Ahsoka bounced up and ran into Anakin's arms.

"Anakin Anakin Anakin Anakin," she kept repeating quickly, dripping salty tears onto his robes.

Clinging deeply onto his robes, Ahsoka sobbed into his chest. I don't care what I thought before. I need Anakin in my life.

"Hey, Snips," Anakin said apprehensively. He glanced over at Rex, who was in an ear-to-ear grin. Rubbing her back for ease and comfort, Anakin kissed the space between her montrals lightly. "I'm here, Snips. I'm here for you."

"Anakin, things have been hell since I left. I missed you and the boys so much." Drying her eyes, Ahsoka let go. "I thought for a moment everything was going to be okay, but. . . ."

Then turning to Rex, Ahsoka embraced him. Orange arms around the stiff, blue plastisteel.

"I'm sorry, Snips. And I can understand. Not in the sense of you, but. . . . You know."

Feeling the sadness in Anakin's mind, Ahsoka did understand. It was about Padmé.

Ahsoka noticed Rex whisper something into Anakin's ear, and his face instantly darkened. "I'm going to kill him!" he shouted.

"Sir, is that really necessary?" Rex inquired.

"Well, Rex," Anakin snipped. "If you didn't want to see me do it then why'd you point it out to me?"

"There's no need to kill him, Sir." Rex placed his hands on his hips and sighed.

Still folding his arms, Anakin mumbled something about Ahsoka was too young. And then it clicked. Oh shit.

Feeling the anger in her master—and her master feeling the worry in his apprentice—Ahsoka tried to pull up the neck of her shirt; tried to hide her actions.

"Now don't try to hide it from me, Snips. I can see it clearly," Anakin snapped bitterly. "All I have to say is you're too young." Sighing, Anakin sat in the corner chair of her room. "Just don't make me a grampa until I'm at least thirty. But I want you to wait till I'm forty."
