The quiet, peach-haired girl made her way towards the direction of the exit. Obviously, she knew there was no way she would be able to make it there without a fight, but considering that she only had thirty minutes, it would be best not to dilly dally and to just make her way to her destination.
Don't be scared, don't be scared, don't be scared...
Occasionally, she would stop to look around frantically after hearing even the slightest noise.
T-That was nothing! It's all good, Koemi..! Calm down!!
Her body was completely alert and focused—if not rigid from the stress that was eating down at her. The girl knew that this Pro Hero was faster than her, and was willing to pummel her into the floor or a wall if she wasn't careful enough. After all, he had to act like a villain.
She placed a hand on her chest to stabilize her breathing. If she panicked now, she wouldn't be able to focus on her blood flow.
The city was quiet. Without thinking about the threats at all, the area was quite peaceful, actually. Himura appreciated the silence, and how the cool breeze whizzed passed and howled quietly. Considering how hot the weather was, having this kind of wind was pleasant.
Another sound was heard from down the alleyway. The sound of a can getting kicked over.
Himura quickly whipped her head to face the sound and found herself staring right at Vlad King.
Calm down Koemi, it's fine, you can just run, right—?
He basically materialized in front her—the man had stood at the end of the alleyway just a moment ago. He swiftly struck the girl in the abdomen, causing her to cry out at the impact. She crashed into a building, and the wall indented from behind her.
Her fight-or-flight response kicked in. What could she do? She forced her eyes open, trying to figure out a solution in her situation. Looking around for something she could throw at him, perhaps? Or a spot that she could jump to—
The man took no time to rush towards her, causing her to duck her head the moment his fist collided with the wall. Her breath hitched for a moment, as she didn't expect him to be so fast even with the shackles on. Focusing on the blood circulation in her legs, she hastily pounced away.
Himura felt her arms buckle upon colliding them with the floor. She tumbled and rolled as her head began to feel light-headed—it must have been that direct hit to the stomach.
"Don't run away. You're only prolonging the inevitable," he stated, trudging towards her. Her hands finally made its way to the floor, and with a soft glide across the floor, she properly kept one knee to the floor to keep herself stable. She looked up.
Initiating her gauntlets, her blood immediately sprouted out from its chambers, beautifully molding itself into her signature sword. By then, he began to rush her again, causing her to stand up and swing her sword.
He used his armor to fight against her weapon, which gave a resounding clang at every contact. Reeling his fist back, he finally landed another direct blow, this time to her face. She cried out as she was pushed back, and she landed on the floor with a resounding thud. Her nose began to bleed.
At that moment, a promising idea clicked inside of her head.
The man didn't even spare her any time to get back up, as he forced her up by the neck and sent her towards another wall. Her eyes blurred for a moment before they refocused on him.
"I'm sorry, but you're too slow," he stated, tightening his grip on her neck. His blood gauntlets began to send out his own blood, which hardened the moment it connected with the wall. "Now you've been immobilized."
