Lisa drove so that Jennie could gather herself. They decided that they should take Lisa's car because it was more convenient. Lisa had one hand on the steering wheel and she was wondering if she should reach over and comfort Jennie in any type of way.

Jennie looked so small in the passenger seat and Lisa decided not to think about it anymore. She reached out and placed a hand on Jennie's thigh. Lisa remembered when Jennie did that to her when they were in bed. But this wasn't sexual. Lisa wanted Jennie to know that she was there for her and squeezed her thigh softly.

Her palm was burning hot against Jennie's jeans. Lisa was getting ready to remove it, when Jennie grabbed a hold of it. She softly wrapped her fingers around Lisa's hand and she squeezed. Lisa glanced over to her and Jennie looked back at her. Lisa didn't smile and neither did Jennie.

It felt like a lifetime before Lisa finally pulled in the hospital and Jennie immediately hopped out of the car. Lisa quickly turned the engine off and followed Jennie inside. She clearly seemed to know where to go and Lisa awkwardly followed behind her.

"Mom!" Jennie called and an older woman that resembled Jennie came over to them. She was wearing a white lab coat and glasses. She looked exhausted and she had long brown hair.

"Jennie!" She cried as she rushed over to her daughter and pulled her in a hug.

"Where is he?" Jennie asked.

"He's in surgery. I have my best surgeons working on him. I can't go in because it breaks protocol. I'm being updated every two minutes." Jennie's mom said.

"What happened?" Jennie asked. Her mother had a faraway look on her face and Lisa wanted to know if that was where Jennie got it from.

"His lung is collapsing." Jennie's mom said and Lisa's eyes widened. She was standing off to the side, letting the two women talk.

"What?" Jennie asked faintly.

"We are doing everything we can." Jennie's mom said, though she looked absolutely exhausted.

"Okay."

"He should be out soon." Jennie's mom informed her and Jennie turned to Lisa. Lisa looked like a deer caught in headlights but she held herself together.

"Who's this?" Jennie's mom asked as she looked at the younger girl.

"She's a student. I was teaching her how to draw when you texted." Jennie said smoothly and Lisa nodded along to the lie.

"Mom, this is Lisa. Lisa, this is my mom, Dara." Jennie introduced them and Lisa felt so out of place.

"Nice to meet you." Lisa said as she held out her hand and Dara shook it.

"You too. I'll be back." Dara said curtly before she walked off and Jennie turned to Lisa.

"I called my friends so you can leave if you want." Jennie mumbled sadly and Lisa looked at her.

"I don't want to leave you." Lisa confessed and Jennie sighed.

"I don't want you to leave." Jennie whispered. Lisa was getting ready to step closer to Jennie and hug her when they heard her name being called.

"Jennie!" Jisoo cried and Lisa's eyes widened when she realized who she was with.

"Lisa?" Minnie asked as she walked over to the basketball player.

"Hi, Minnie." Lisa said to sound casual and Jennie cleared her throat awkwardly.

"I was teaching her how to draw and then my mom texted. It's nice to see you again, Minnie." Jennie smiled sadly over to the girl.
