Klaire's POV:

I don't know how long I stayed at outside, but I kept walking around, being amazed by all the scenery ahead of me. I found myself at a market and I looked around wearily, why did I come here?

People looked at me suspicious and some growled as they walked passed me. I gulp and go to turn back around and smack into someone, but before I fell, they catch onto my hand and help me balance myself. I see Zoe standing there with a smile on her face.

"Watch out there." She chuckled and wrapped an arm around my shoulders and turned us back around to walk further into the group of people who I wanted to be well away from by now.

She sensed my nervousness as I spoke. "Um, they're not going to eat me, are they?" I ask quietly even though all of them heard me and growled.

"They wouldn't dare touch you while I'm here." Zoe said and smiled, she acted so careless that these leeches were slowly coming closer to me. "They wouldn't defy their future Queen, would they?" She made sure to say louder and those people then looked away and some even bowed.

"You're going to be Queen?" I ask. That would make her Jasper's betrothed, wouldn't it?

"Well seeming Jasper hasn't found his mate yet, they desperately need a Queen to help him out which would make us be married. It's not like I want to marry him but what's done is done. If Jasper finds his mate soon then he'll be getting married to her then." Zoe explained.

"But he's the king, so he doesn't have to get married if he doesn't want too, right?" I asked, I felt jealousy rise in me when she said that she had to marry Jasper.

She smiled, "not even the king can overrule the law placed by his parents." I nodded at what she said. So she was getting married to Jasper, but when? "In two months..." she said quietly.

I look down, I was jealous for some reason but I don't know why. It's like this connection kept pulling me closer to him the more I pushed him away.

I sigh and look at the beautiful dream-catchers hanging from one of the stools. Zoe saw me glancing at the purple and blue object softly fluttering in the wind and leaned forward to snatch it from the hook.

I frowned and she giggled and handed it to me. "Don't you have to pay for this?" I ask and she laughed louder and I smiled slightly.

"Not if I don't want too." She winks and pulls me along to another store. "You know I still don't know your name." She says and picks up an opal ring from the counter to look at it.

"Oh, it's Klaire. Klaire Night." She looks at me with a look of surprise.

"Wait, you're her!" She gasps and shoves the ring in her pocket before grabbing my hand and pulling me aside to one of the benches along the path.

I was so confused, "I'm who?" I mutter.

She smiles widely, "That's good! I won't have to marry Jasper! Now you can!" She hisses the last part carefully. "You're his mate, you're the one for him! No wonder why he has you in his room."
