Klaire's POV:

I was taken by this man called Max deeper into the woods. He kept looking back at me every-so-often to make sure I hadn't run off, which I was tempted to do. He was tall, not as tall as Jasper though, and had long, blonde curly hair that rested on his shoulders.

"You know, the Alpha would want to meet you. His name is Oscar Tallebudgera and is so nice, he will welcome anyone with open arms." Max explained to me as I see a light flicker off into the distance. Was that where they were staying?

I said nothing as we got close to the campsite, and as we neared, I heard cheering and laughing, followed by an obvious word being 'chug' over and over again. What was this?

As Max pushed past some trees and let me stand in front of the fifty or so people sitting around the campfire and makeshift tents off to the side, everyone's eyes landed on me and my own widened and Max smiled and brought me closer to his side and smiled at the people.

"This here is..." he looked down at me again as an expression to get me to say my name.

"Klaire." I said in a tiny voice. Everyone looked at one another then and I heard some whispering before someone cleared their throat to the back of the group and heads turn towards that person before they all started bowing.

My nerves picked up then, no one would bow just for fun, this person had authority. While the person walked, my heart rate picked up drastically, who were they?

As they emerged from the crowd of people, the man stopped right in front of me. He was tall with brown eyes and short blonde hair. Oh, he was gorgeous!

"My name is Oscar Tallebudgera, I'm the Alpha of this pack. I can smell that you're human. What is a human doing out here all alone?" Oscar asked me in a deep voice. There was something about him that I wanted to get to know him more. Maybe because he and Max were actually nice to me, unlike Jasper.

I looked up at him, "uh, I was trying to find a place to stay. If you don't want me here-" I started but Oscar cut me off.

"Of course we want you here, no human should be staying out late at night in the woods." Oscar interrupted and I nodded and he smiled with white teeth and grabbed my hand and began to walk through the crowd of people once more.

He led me to a tent where he sat down and ushered me to do the same, as I sat, he pulled me closer and I tensed. "Um-"

"You must be cold, let me warm you up. I'm naturally warm." Oscar says and wraps his arm around my shoulders. I'm squeezed between him and his arm and I would be lying if I said it was uncomfortable.

The sun would be coming up in a few hours and I wondered what Jasper would think when I'm not in his bed. A part of me hated leaving him; more Xavier, but Jasper had suddenly gotten better and treated me nicely and yet he changed so quickly.
