Klaire's POV:
"I don't know how to dress for these kind of things." I mutter as I came out of the closet, a formal lady's suit jacket in my hands. Jasper chuckles from the bed and eyes me hungrily, I was wearing a pair of black cuffed jeans, a tight white shirt, along with nude coloured heels and the nude coloured jacket in my hands. My hair was pinned up in a messy but nice looking bun with a white pearls clipped to the bun. My makeup was nude with red lipstick. I felt oddly powerful at how powerful I looked.
"Jesus, you look amazing." Jasper said and I moved over to him, kissing his lips, giggling at the red smudge left on his lips. "You going to be okay to drive there? Do you want me to drive?" Jasper asked me and I shook my head.
"I'm okay, are you?" I ask and run a hand through his messy hair. He smiles at me and nods, grabbing my wrist to kiss my palm and I sigh. "Heh, I'm really nervous. I'm not used to be around so many people, let alone talking to them." I say truthfully and he stares at me lovingly.
He lays back down against the headboard, "you're going to be amazing kitten, trust me." There was a pause then before he talked once more, "I wish I was there to witness it." He said and I laughed, seeing his mischievous look in his eyes.
"Oh yeah, sure," I drew out the word, "and to make fun of me stumbling over my words numerous times." I added and he smirked and winked at me. I look at the clock then and saw I had to leave. "Okay," I say in a high-pitched voice, clearly nervous, "please don't do anything while I'm gone, I don't want you to hurt yourself."
"Don't worry about me, worry about yourself." He says and grabs my hand to kiss my knuckles. I knew he was just trying to make me feel comfortable with what was to come, but the horrible truth of what was really going to happen to him came back to me and I couldn't help but feel worried anyways.
I leaned down to kiss him once more, not caring about the red lipstick. "I'm not selfish Jasper, of course I'm going to care about you." He smiles at me and I grab the jacket and put it on seeming it was cold outside and looked at him once more, "be careful."
"Always am." He winked and I rolled my eyes at his cheekiness before leaving and walking downstairs. I grab the papers I had to take for Aiden, who I hadn't seen since Oscar had died, and the keys to the car. I took a breath and began to walk out.
I got in the car and put my phone of the holder to show me directions to where I needed to go before I reversed out and began driving. My mind swam with thoughts, the only reason why I was doing this was because Jasper was dying, it pained me knowing that these could be the last days of his life. I felt tears fill my eyes but I quickly wiped them away. Sidney was keeping an eye out for Zoe in case something was to happen and she would use her magic to fight anyone who would come into the house.
I finally pulled up and parked along the side of the road and saw people walking into a building. "Oh God," I mumbled as I turned off the car and grabbed the papers before getting out of the car reluctantly. People turned and saw me then and I tried my best to walk past them unbothered.
