Klaire's POV:

It had been days. I wasn't allowed to leave the room, Jasper had locked me in this room and only came in to give me food and drink. I had gone crazy in here, I didn't know what he was doing.

He threw me in here saying that I wasn't allowed to leave before he left himself. I had cried for hours, wanting nothing more then to be let out, I wasn't an animal kept in a cage!

Someone knocked in the door and I sniffed and glanced at it but never said anything, the door creaked open then and Zoe walked in. I gasp and went over to her and hugged her tightly.

"Zoe, I did something and I regret it so bad!" I was so glad that she was here. She hushed me and we go over to the bed and sit down.

She smiles at me, "it's okay Klaire, you were just trying to help him." She says and I sigh in relief, maybe he could come back if we sorted something out.

I felt terrible after I had pushed Jasper over the edge, that's all I ever seemed to do now. I had done it before and I went too far once more to make it happen again. I was just trying to help him and I was so blind and hadn't known that I was hurting him by doing so.

"There could be a way." Zoe says quietly and I snap my head towards her. "Our alter egos are the humanity side of us, which means if Jasper turns his humanity off, there's still a chance to bring him back because Xavier will force him to feel. But if Xavier is gone then so is Jasper."

"Gone?" I ask, what does she mean by gone? Does that mean if Xavier doesn't want to be with Jasper anymore then he could leave and there was no chance for Jasper?

Zoe lowers her head, "exactly that. Jasper can also force Xavier away too." She said reading my mind and I bite my lip, I didn't want Xavier to leave.

Someone opens the door then and Zoe was all of a sudden gone. Jasper stood at the door, and his eyes narrowed down on mine. I hated seeing him so emotionless and that I was the cause of it.

"Zoe, come out." Jasper says emotionlessly but never looks away from me. Zoe then steps out of the walk-in-robe and looks at him. "What are you doing?" He growls at her.

She puts her hands on her hips and glares at him, "you can't keep her in here Jasper! If you cared for her then you wouldn't be doing this to her! How would your parents think about-" Jasper suddenly pinned Zoe up by the throat against the wall.

"Don't mention them! Don't you dare! I'll kill you permanently, understand me!?" Jasper yells and Zoe tries to nod the best she could. Jasper snaps her neck and she falls to the floor with a thud.

"Zoe!?" I shriek and stand up, running over to her. I lift her head into my lap and stroke out her hair. I glare up at Jasper, "get out!" I yell at him. I was so fed up with him just killing who he liked.

"This is my room, so no." He went over by his bed and sat down. "She's not dead, so quite worrying. All you do is worry about people! About me, about Zoe, about your parents! It's annoying!"
