Jasper's POV:
I stalked my way towards the innocent man, he scurried back in fright at my intimidating stance. My face had changed to its dark form and I peered down at him before grabbing onto his shirt and lifting him into the air. "My King, I- I don't understand what I've done wrong!" He begs for mercy but I wouldn't have it.
"You did nothing wrong, I'm just hungry and all your humans are dead." I say and bite into his neck. His blood filled my mouth, quenching my thirst a little. To me, it didn't matter what kind they were, their blood quenched me either way. Human blood still had to be my favourite, it was sweeter and quenched my thirst more than my own kind.
I dropped the lifeless man after ripping his heart from his chest so he didn't come back to life and spill anything. Turning around, I glance at all the dead bodies in the pet store and smirk. Slowly I was killing all the humans so none would be left alive, not because I was hungry, but because I could and no one could tell me off.
I had already killed any werewolves I saw, they were no match to me without their enhancements and they definitely had nothing compared to me when I drank human blood.
I left the store then, glancing around at the trees and decided where I was going to go next. I smirked when I thought about going back home to kill Zoe, Lucas and Klaire. Then I stopped and frown, would I kill Klaire? I challenged myself then and started in the direction of the house, of course I would kill her!
Klaire's POV:
"Okay you guys, be back shortly and be careful please." Lucas said and gave Zoe a gentle kiss on the lips, she smiled and got into the car and I put my seatbelt on.
I turn to her with panic, "are you sure?" I ask her and she laughs at my panicked look. "Like I'm no doubt going to kill us both."
"You'll be fine." Zoe said as she sat in passenger, "I'm sure you'd be a good driver." I gulp and look at the steering wheel and the pedals at my feet. "Put your foot on the brake and take the handbrake off."
I nodded and followed what she said, her vaguely pointing to the things in the car and telling me what they were for. We were in the automatic car, her saying that this would help me get around for now if I needed to go somewhere, and I didn't have to change gears... whatever that meant.
"Okay, now put it in reverse and look around to make sure you're not going to run anyone over." I look at her, she wasn't helping. She laughed once more, "okay, now take your foot off the brake and slowly let the car roll back before turning the wheel left."
Soon enough, I had reversed the car and began to drive along the straight road. "Ha, I'm driving! Holy shit, I'm driving!" I say excitedly and look at Zoe, she smiles and claps her hands at my achievement and leaned back.
We were going out to the shops while Lucas managed some things at the house while we were out for a few hours. After what happened with Zoe telling me all the things about her past with Jasper, she needed to leave the house where it all happened for a while and I couldn't blame her.
