Klaire's POV:
"So you're telling me that Zoe is being put under a spell to do God knows what!?" I say in disbelief towards Jasper and and nods and flicks through some more security footage. He then takes a sharp breath and his hand shoots up to his chest. "What's wrong?" I say and move towards him.
He then closes his eyes and leans back in the chair. "It's Xavier." He whispers. What does he mean it's Xavier!? Was he back!? "No, it's just that he's been gone for so long that I'm starting to physically hurt because of it." He explains quietly.
I move so I'm sitting on his lap, "wait, how long has this been going on?" I ask him and run my hands through his hair.
He clenches his teeth then, "a few days." He says and I blink at him. He never told me that this was happening to him. Why wouldn't he tell me? "I didn't want you to worry about me, kitten. Plus, whatever is happening to Zoe is more important."
"You matter too, Jasper. What happens to you?" He looks at me then, a look of nervousness on his face like he didn't want to tell me. "Jasper, what happens to you?" I say more sternly and he looks away but I grab his face to keep him in place.
He takes a breath and closes his eyes then, "I'll die." It felt as if the air from my lunges got kicked out of me, like something as came along and taken it all. This can't be happening! My face then turns panicked as I look at Jasper, "please, don't-"
"Don't what Jasper?! Don't worry about you?! You're going to die!" I scream at him, tears filling my eyes quickly at the thought of him dying, he hushes me, bringing me in close so I can rest on his chest. His heartbeat was thumping loudly in my ears, telling me that he too was scared of what was to come. "I don't want you to leave me." I whisper and I hear him take a breath.
"You won't get rid of me that easily, kitten." He whispers back in the same tone. "But we've got to help Zoe for now, who knows what's been said to her." I nod and move my head up and grab his face to kiss him, he returns it and holds my waist in his hands to steady my almost shaking figure. We pull back then, resting my forehead against his.
I move off him then, deciding that I need to talk to Sidney about this because if a witch had cursed Zoe then maybe Sidney could help. Jasper nods at me, reading my mind and I begin to make my way towards Zoe's room where I thought Sidney would be. As I knock on the door, Zoe opens it and smile. "Hey Klaire, what's up?"
"Uh, I need to talk to Sidney." I say and Zoe frowns at me and in the corner of my eye I see Sidney walk up to me but I see Zoe block her way and Sidney and I look at Zoe confused.
"I can't let you do that." She says sternly and glares down at me.
Now I was confused. "Why not?" I ask her in the same stern tone and she frowns at the floor then before smiling and turning back towards Sidney. Zoe gives her a hand gesture for her to leave and she does, confused as to what was happening.
