"Come here, kitten." The nickname he used on me always got to me, his piercing blue eyes stared into my own. They were lust blown and full of desire... desire for me. The fact he desired me sent my arousal through the the roof. I followed his order...

Klaire's POV:
He doesn't want to be saved. Bullshit! I wasn't going to listen to him! He needed to be saved or what else was I meant to do for the rest of my life? Just sit back and watch him murder everyone before he finally got to me? I wasn't going to let that happen!
The torch was in my hands, it shining down the dark hallway to the room where Jasper had been many weeks before and forced Xavier away. I hadn't been there myself, trying not to pry into his family's business but right now I was so furious with him that he told me not to save him and needed answers.
I needed to know what that necklace meant!
I opened the door and glanced around the room, it looked old, dust had been collected on the surface of every piece of furniture in the room and the air tasted and smelt stale. Then I saw it, the box over by the bedside table and I walked over to it and picked it up. I placed it in my pocket and as I went to leave the room, saw a picture on the floor and pick it up.
It was Jasper, Zoe and two people sitting by a fountain that I recognised as the one from the front yard. They were all smiling happily at the camera and I instinctively smile a little before placing that too in my pocket.
I walked out then, closing the door and walking back down to the kitchen where I see Zoe. I sit beside her and she senses that I wanted to say something.
"What's wrong?" She asked and I got out the box and put it on the counter. Her eyes widen and she sits up straighter. "Klaire...-"
"Tell me about it." I demand and she winces and shakes her head and gets up to leave, but I grab her wrist to keep her still. I knew she could easily escape but she didn't and whimpered and I saw tears in her eyes. "Please Zoe, I have to make Jasper feel somehow and you know what happened all those years ago, please tell me." I begged and she looks at me.
She sighed, "I- I-" I knew that if she wanted Jasper back, she'd tell me what happened. She took a breath and looked at me. "Fine."

"Mother! Where are we going?" Zoe laughed as she grabbed onto her mothers hand. Helen glanced down at her adopted daughter with a smile and looked over to Edric who was helping Jasper onto the fountain where he couldn't reach just yet. She placed the golden chained necklace with a gorgeous emerald green gem in the middle around her neck after Edric had given it to her as a gift.
"It's a surprise, my young child." She smiled but was scared. How could she tell her own children that a witch had cursed them to this life ahead of them?
As Edric and Helen got together, they shared a knowing smile as they saw the older witch sit both Jasper and Zoe, who were barely 10, on the fountain.
Helen and Edric couldn't bare to see their children die in this war that was brewing, and so did as much research as they could to make them survive the inevitable. The witch said that were was going to be consequences for disrupting the balance of nature, but she didn't know what, and Jasper's biological parents were ready to risk whatever it took to keep their children safe.
