Chapter 10

After dinner they decided to watch a movie, but I didn't have any clothes to wear. " I don't have any clothes to wear." I say to Ross as I stood at there front door. " You can use some of dellys."

" Yeah you can use some! Ross go get her some. I don't want to move." Rydel said laying down on the couch. I sighed. " Come on." He pulled me into her room. He grabbed me a pair of sweat pants and shirt.

" I'll just wait outside." I quickly changed and walked out. I sat in between Ross and Riker as Ryland put the movie in.

" What are we watching anyways?" I asked. " Annabel." Ryland replied. I shook my head . " What's the matter? Movie to scary?" Ryland teased.

" Don't worry. It's just fake." Ross whispered. I turn my attention to him. " But it's still scary." I look up up Into his big hazel eyes. " It's okay." He laughed. I sighed in defeat.

The movie has already been on for half an hour and I'm already covering my face behind the blanket that Ross and I are sharing. And somehow during that time, I ended up curling up next to him.

There was a huge bang in the house. I jumped closer to Ross and pulled the blanket over me. " What was that?" I asked piping my head out. Ross looked worried, which worried me even more. " I- I don't know."

This can't be good. My heart was pounding and I was close to tears. Rocky jumped out and I screamed. Everyone started to laugh. I pulled the blanket back over me. A few tears escaped my eyes.

The blanket was lifted off of me. I revealed my teary eyes. Ross looked Sadly at me. "Why are you crying?" He asked, getting the attention of everyone else in the room. I shook my head as I wiped my tears away.

" Lucy, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you that much." Rocky apologized. I took in a deep breath. " It's not just that."

" Wanna tell us?" Ross stared at me. I shook my head. " Not today." I whisper. He plopped down beside me again giving me a side hug. " I'm sorry." I nodded my head. "It's okay."

" So can we finish watching the movie. Or?" Ryland awkwardly sat there. " Yeah. As long as no one scares me." I point at Rocky. " Fine." He chuckled.

Ross pov;

When I pulled that blanket off of Lucy and seen the tears in her eyes. Really tore my heart. I hate it when she's said. And there was nothing I could do, since she said she didn't want to talk about it.

The movie was over and Lucy was sleeping soundly on my side. Riker was past out on the other side of her and Rydel and Rocky went upstairs to sleep. Ryland was on his still down stairs getting a drink.

" Hey Ryland, I whisper. He nodds indicating he heard me. " Can you sleep in rocky's room with Riker? So I can put Lucy in your bed?" I asked. " Sure."

He slowly made his way up stairs and I picked up the sleeping girl. She grabbed onto my shirt causing my heart to race. I slowly put her down in Rylands bed as I took off my shirt and pants.

I crawled into bed as I slowly started to fall asleep.

I woke up by the sound of someone slamming the door. I didn't see Lucy in the bed beside me. I quickly got up and ran downstairs. My mom and Rydel were in the living room looking concerned.

" What happened?" I asked walking closer to them. " She ran out of the house looking frightened and tears in her eyes. We asked her what was the matter, but she was already out of the house. What did you do?" My mom questioned.

I shook my head. " I didn't do anything. I was woken up by her slamming the door." What was wrong?

I ran back up to my room and grabbed my phone. I clicked the call button on Lucy's contact.

After a few rings, she answerd.

' Hello' she crooked. I heard faint yelling in the background. It was getting louder and closer.
' Why did you roping off this morning?' I asked. It took her a long time to reply. ' I Didn't fell good.' I new she was lying.

Then, I heard something shatter and a door being opened as yelling filled my ears. Lucy screamed as the line went dead.
