Chapter 28

When I woke up Ross was gone, no surprise there. My eyes were stinging and I looked in the mirror. All around my eyes were red. Ugh, and I had to work today. I changed into shirts and a crop top, with a plaid shirt tied around my stomach, not showing any skin.

I washed my face, hoping for the blotchiness to go down. I groaned as I took down my make up bag, this is going to be a long day.

" Hey Kian." I mumbled. He smiled. " Hey Lucy." As we got to work with no conversation, at all, something came to mind. " So, do you like anyone?" I asked leaning against the counter.

" Why do you want to know?" He placed the cloth down he was using to clean the counter. " Cause I may or may not, know someone who, may or may not like you. " I know Rydel said not to talk to him, but they would be e cues test couple!

" Really, who?" He asked getting into the conversation. " A little Blondie perhaps." He raised his eyebrows and he thought, something must have came to mind. " Is it Rydel? Your boyfriends brother?"

I tried to keep a straight face but failed. " maybe." I turned around. " Dude, I've had a crush on her for ages! She's so beautiful and she's really good at football!" He commented.

" Aww! I can get you guys set up! I know she's head over heals for you! It will be no problem!" He gave me a hug. " Thank you so much Lucy! I own you one!" I laughed and hugged him back. This is going to be fun.

" So I'm meeting him in three hours?!" She yelled over the phone. " Yeah! After he gets off his shift." She was so ecstatic, it was adorable. " I love you so much! Thank you thank you thank you!" She squealed.

I drove to their house after my shift ended, which was an hour and a half before Kian's. Every guy was outside, so I went upstairs to try and find delly. I knocked on her door and she pulled me in.

" Help me! I don't keno what to wear!" It's funny because she has a whole closet and dressers full of clothes and has no idea what to wear. I got her a white shirt that said
' I like boys with accents' and some random pair of shorts. " Thank you!" She ran off and changed.

" Rydel! Mom needs you!" Ross called from outside. He opened the door and was confused once he saw me. " You're here and you didn't even say hello?" He pretended to be hurt. " Yeah. I like your sister more than you."

Ross gasped. " Well then." I smiled while he still pouted. " Don't be a grumpy pants. I saw you last night." I leaned over and pecked his lips, making him smile. Ross left after we started working on her hair.

Ross didn't like the idea of her going on the date, so if they hit it off, I can't imagine what he would do if they started going out. When Rydel left to go to the park, I went to hang with the guys.

I couldn't help but wonder what they're going to do. I really hope they hit it off, I think they're perfect for each other. Ross had told the guys about her date, and they weren't happy about it.

" Guys, he's not that bad of a guy, you need to give him a chance, Rydel really likes him." I said trying to change their mind. " You haven't know him as long as us, s. Jerk. He brakes girls hearts, he cheats on them, and he's a man whore." Ross said getting out of the pool.

" And have you ever seen him do any of that?" I asked, but already knowing the answer. " No, but I've heard stories about it." He answered after the silence.

I scoffed. " See! You just have to give him a chance." They just shook their heads and continued doing what ever. Ross was sittin with my, talking about flying an airplane.

For hours and hours we talked. Even though I love him, I can't stand to talk about airplanes with him anymore. Rydel walked through the sliding doors, making me so happy.

" Rydel! Oh thank god!" I rushed over to her. " I can't stand talking about airplanes." I whispered groaned. She laughed, but she didn't stop smiling, she couldn't wipe e smile off her face.

" He asked me out!" She yelled to everyone. Ross mouth a gaped and everyone got out of the pool. " And what'd you say?" The protective side of Riker was showing.

" Yes!" Me wide eyed turned back to Rydel. " Thats amazing! Oh my god!" I wrapped her in a hug. This is her first boyfriend!

" I don't want you to." Ross said sternly to Rydel. " It's not your choice." She argued back. " He's a dick and you know it!" He yelled. Rydel just scoffed.
" that's cause you don't know him, you've only heard what other people have to say about him." Then she took off.

" She's right." I mumble. " What?" He snapped. " You've only heard what other people have to say about him, I say give them a chance, she really likes him."
His stare went to Rydel, who was inside, then back at me, " What's the real reason you don't want her to date him?" I asked. I ran my hand up and down his arm until he answered me.

" She's my only sister, a-and I don't want to see her hurt by some jerk." He sighed.
" She's strong, if he ever did hurt her, she'll get through it no problem. Now, I suggest you go tell her the real reason, and apologize." I push him towards the door. He walked in and went to Rydel. He started talking, then they hugged. I smiled at my work and waited for them to come back out
" Thanks for getting him to lighten up about it, I owe you one." She whispers.
" Don't worry about it." She smiled.

*Days later *

" Okay, I'm on my way home now... Okay... Love you too..." I hung up on Ross and got into my car. On my way home from work, I stopped at 'in an out' to get something to eat. As I waited in line, I noticed a really familiar blonde boy sitting in a both, with another girl.
