Ross' point of view;" Are you ready?" I asked as I was standing at the edge of my bed, waiting for Lucy to brush her hair. " Yeah." She sighed. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.
I rested my head in the crook of her neck. " You're beautiful." I whisper. She blushed. "Thank you." She turned around and hugged me. We stood there embracing each other for a few minutes until my dad came up.
" Okay, let's go." I pulled back and grabbed her hand. We walked to the door and put on our shoes. We hoped into the van and sat in the back. She crossed her legs as I rested our hands on her thigh.
She was looking really nervous the whole way there, " It's going to be okay, I promise." I wrap my other arm around her waist. " I hope." She mumbles. I watched the trees fly by until we pulled into the police station parking lot.
We got out and Lucy was even more nervous. I felt bad for her. If she never would've found me, she would probably have to live with it for a long time. No one should ever live like that, especially her.
" Hello, how may we help you?" The lady behind the desk asked. My dad went up and talked to her while I stayed back with my girlfriend.
We sat in chairs and waited until my dad came back to us. " They would like to see Lucy alone."
She looked up at me and I smiled sadly at her. " It'll be okay." I reassured her. She sighed and stood up. I watched as she walked away with two other police men.
I hope everything goes okay.
Lucy's Point Of View;
I walked with two police officers and they took me into a room to be asked questions.
" So, when did this all start?" The first officer asked. He pulled out his pen and a piece of paper. " 2 years ago, when I was 14." He wrote that down and asked me some other questions.
The last question they asked me was when the last time I was abused. " Two nights ago," I frown. " Do you have any proof?" I slowly stood up and turned around and lifted up my shirt.
" He through a beer bottle at me," then I trend around and showed them my stomach which had bruises on it.
" Okay, thank you. That's all for today, well let you know what's going to happen. Well have a talk with him." Wait, no, that can't happen. They were just out the door.
" No! Please don't." They turned around, " we can't just arrest him, we still don't know if it was him," tears brimmed in my eyes. " Please, you can't do that!"
" Why not?" And that's when I broke down. " Please." I beg. The looked at me apologetically " I'm sorry." Then they took me out of the room.
Ross seen me and ran over quickly. " Babe, what's the matter?" He asked softly. " They have to t-talk to my dad, he's going to kn-know I went to the police." I stutter.
" Shhh, it'll be okay, I'll go talk to them. Don't worry, you'll be safe." He wiped my tears away and kisses my forehead. " Alright." I let out a shaky breath. He walked over to the police and started to talk to them.
I walked over to mark, " are you okay kiddo?" I nodded my head slightly. " I think." He gave me a side hug. " Alright."We waited for Ross to come back. " It's going to be alright." He whispers into my ear as he hugs me.
" Thank you." I whisper back. He pulls away from the hug, but stays by my side and we walk to the van.
" I don't want you going back to that house, at least not until he is gone." Ross said as we entered his bedroom. I rolled my eyes.
