I grab the metal doorknob and close the music room behind us. I look to the room number. Room 2B, I think this will be my new favorite number.. and letter. I smile to myself.
"Ready?"
I turn and see my girl waiting for me, hand stretched out. She's standing there in my hoodie that hangs delicately off her wrist. I tug on the sleeve and pull her towards me. She giggles and wraps her arm around my waist as I lay my arm over her shoulder. We walk in unison holding each other with ease.
"Don't forget to wear this to the game tomorrow." I tug on the hood playfully.
"Oh I won't, it's my new favorite." Remi keeps her gaze forward. She's so sure of everything she says. She doesn't need to look at me for approval. She's doesn't need anything but my love. And that's what I've given her in my own way everyday. Every song I sing to her is about love. I just hope it's enough.
We make our way back to the main center quickly. The cool fall air has definitely been transitioning into winter. It smells cooler. If that's a smell.
It's quieter than usual, by this time everyone's headed out for break. I still can't believe I'll be spending my break with Remi. To be able to spend more time with her without school distracting us. I have the whole week planned out. Checking out all my favorite spots and places to eat. I'm sure she's been at these places but it's different sharing them with each other. It's places we can now do together.
We make it back to her dorm room and make myself at-home on the bed. I prop myself up on my elbow, so I'm facing her while my feet hang off the bed. Remi stares at me with an eyebrow raised.
"You just going to lay there and watch me pack?" She turns to her closet and reaches on her tip-goes for a duffle bag on the top shelf. Her calves flex and I can't help but follow my gaze all the way up to her ass. A small growl rumbles in my chest. My hoodie is raised just enough to see it and damn do I love seeing it. I wish she wasn't wearing pants.
"Stop staring at my ass." Remi grabs the duffel bag and turns toward me. I snap my eyes to the window.
"I uuuuuh don't know what you're talking about?" I gesture towards the window. "I was watching the leaves blow in the wind." I smirk and give her a side eye. She starts laughing at tosses the bag at me.
"With the blinds shut?" She pushes me over on the bed still laughing. I bring her on top of me and her hair falls over her shoulders and graze my cheeks. I love how happy she is and carefree. I can't help but start staring into her eyes and she slows her laughter. She's looking back into me, into my soul. She sees me.
Remi pecks my nose with her soft lips and slides off of me. My body suddenly aches. She somehow knows too.
"I need to pack and head out remember." She gracefully walks around her room gathering stuff in her duffel bag like clothes, bathroom shit and packs up her backpack with books.
I pull myself off the bed. "Why are you bringing books, you're on break." I hold up her backpack so she can pack it more easily. She grabs notebooks, a bunch of mechanical pencils and tosses them at the bottom.
"I have a research paper I need to finish." She zips up her bag
"Ew." I crinkle my nose with the idea of a paper. "And you have to do it this week?" She senses the whine in my voice.
She looks up at me with a smile. "Yes this week." She copies my whine and I'm ok with that. I can't help but smile with her.
"Fine, fine, just make sure you save a couple hours each day for muah." I place my hand softly on my chest like some royal prince.
