I quickly wore a jacket and ran off my room with an umbrella. I exited the house and went out our gate.

"Holy crap, Aikovin! What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted at her but she didn't respond. I tapped her shoulder but she suddenly fell on my arms. She's shivering and her eyes are closed. I called for a little help inside our house and brought her inside our house. Our driver carried her to the bathroom and I allowed Mama to change her clothes. Soon after, they lifted her up again and carried her to my room. After they left, I sat beside her.

"What were you thinking?!" Silly me, talking to a sleeping human.

"You could've freeze to death out there!"

"Why didn't you just go home instead of waiting for me?!"

"Were you trying to kill yourself, huh?!"

"Did you pur—"

"Yuri...Yuri..." I was stopped when she keeps on calling my name while asleep.

"I'm here, now what?" I felt her cold hands held mine.

"Don't leave me. Don't run away." I am now doubting if she really is asleep based on her actions. But soon enough, I heard that familiar soft snores again. I was staring at her peaceful face when her phone rang. It was water proof so, it wasn't affected that much.

Her mom is calling her. I saw some missed calls and unread messages on her notifications. This girl, ignored her mom just to wait for me. Gosh, she's seriously making me feel bad for letting her wait outside.

I answered the incoming call of her mom after sighing those thoughts away.

"Hello, Mrs. Shin?"

"Oh Yuri, Vinnie is with you?"

"Yes, she waited for me outside our house drenched in rain water. I think she'll have a fever and cold judging by how she shivered. Sorry for what I have caused."

"Ah, take care of her for me please. I'll pick her up there tomorrow. No need to apologize, fix whatever it is okay?"

"Yes Mrs. Shin, sorry for the inconvenience." After that small talk, her mom hanged up the call.

I gazed at her sleeping face again and turned off the aircon. I opened the heater instead. She's shivering badly so I put the thick blanket over her but it seems like it wasn't enough to make her warm. I nuzzled up with her and hugged her. Her shivering stopped. She buried her face in my neck and hugged me back. This sneaky kid. After staring at her features once more, I dozed off too.

I opened my eyes feeling a hot—like the literal hot—creature beside me. I jolted up and looked for a thermometer in my room. I walked in my bathroom to my medicine cabinet and saw one.

"Open your mouth, kid." She did it half-asleep. I waited for the thermometer to beep and looked at the temperature as soon as it's done.

"38.5?!" My eyes widen. Her temperature is surely hot. I was about to go downstairs but her phone rang again.

"Yuri, I'm sorry to say but I won't be around for two weeks. Can you take care of her for me?"

"Ay yes, Mrs. Shin. I'll take care of your princess. Be careful in your trip." She hanged up after that. I washed myself and changed into some warm clothes before heading down. I went to the kitchen and saw my parents eating breakfast.

"Oh you're awake." My mom is shocked to see me at the kitchen at exactly quarter past five in the morning.

"Vin is hot." She smiled playfully at me. "I mean hot, like a fever. She have a fever." I continued. I saw worry in her eyes.

"Did you get her temperature already?" I nodded as a response.

"38.5, It's bad isn't it?" Her eyes widen.

"That's certainly way too high. Feed her with some soup and bread then, make her drink this for her fever. If her nose becomes runny, make her drink this too. After every four hours, make her drink the one for her fever. The one for runny nose is after every meal. Make her drink lots of water and change her clothes if she sweats, okay?" I nodded with my mom's instruction. "Put this also in her forehead." She added. Mama cooked some nice-smelling soup for Vin and toasted some bread. I put it all in a tray and carry it upstairs. I also brought a big bottle of water.

I landed the tray on my study table and wake her up.

"Vin...Vin...Aikovin." She opened her eyes and sneezed right after.

"Sit, Eat these foods then you'll drink your meds." I fed her with the soup and the toasted bread. "Your mom called, she asked me to take care of you since she won't he around for two weeks." I said while feeding her.

"Why did you run away yesterday?" I didn't answer her question making her sigh. "Be well and I'll answer that question of yours." I said. She nodded a few times and opened her mouth wide. Her eyes are almost shutting because of sleepiness, I guess. She constantly sneezed, gagging her head up and down.

I stood up and put the heater in a higher temperature. After feeding her, I made her drink the medicines my mom gave me.

"Sleep again, I'll wake you up later. Wake me up if you need anything, I'll be sleeping in the couch, okay?" I said while putting those cold patches on her forehead. I kissed her head before tucking her in.

"You won't go?" I nodded with her question as I fixed the blanket. She closed her eyes right after. I went to the couch and laid down. Thank God, my couch is not that small. I jolted up again, I forgot to bring the used utensils downstairs. After I dropped it off the kitchen, I went back up and laid in the couch again. I looked at her sleeping peacefully in my bed while hugging my pillow. She seriously look like a kid who got lost. My class will start in two days. Hopefully by then, her fever will be gone. I can't go to school if she's still unwell.

"Yuri...Yuri..." I heard her call my name which made me stood up again. I went beside her only to realize that she's sleep talking. Probably because of what happened yesterday. I feel guilty about it. Gosh, I shouldn't have ran off.

I sighed and played with her hair for a few minutes before going back to the couch. I can't sleep beside her. I might get sick too. I can't take care of her if I'm sick. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and removed the airplane mode. Bunch of notifications from her appeared.

"46 missed calls and 226 unread messages." I read it aloud. I opened it one by one and unconsciously smiled. I don't want to get my hopes high but yeah, probably she texted and called me because I ran off. My smile disappeared and was changed into a frown. I locked it again and put it back at the night stand. I laid in the couch, throwing away my thoughts and dozed off too.
