"You're my best friend."
She frowned a bit, which I understood because I was probably the only thing permanent in her life and she said, "Always, right Seaweed Brain?"
"Forever and Always."
I always smiled at the memory. That was seven years ago. In...
We walked up to the Zhang house. I'm pretty sure I was fangirling about the columns as much as I fangirled when Ginny kissed Luna in one of the fanfics I was reading. What? They are cute.
I heard Percy clear his throat.
"Yes?" I questioned.
"Well, you should know a few things first."
"Those being?"
"So Grandma Zhang is a little... uhh how do you say this? Umm, let's just say she's sorta like Edna Mode from the incredibles? She could be like, an uptight Chinese rat, maybe."
"Of course you are. Get in. You must've met Fai then."
"Uhhh, sure." I said, assuming Fai, was either a rat or a stick.
Percy smiled that lopsided smile of his and walked in the room. "Hey guys, so this is Annabeth."
They turned around. Like all of them, doing a full 180 was just plain creepy. Then Jason spoke up.
"You're the scary girl who stormed up to me and demanded Percy address right?"
"Uhh, yep. Hi Jason."
"You what?" Percy asked.
"Well, I threatened to judo flip him."
"Ohhh nice." A girl with electric blue eyes and a black leather jacket said.
I frowned at her. "You're Thalia. Thalia Grace." I said.
Everyone froze up. Guess random strangers knowing Thalia's full name wasn't a great thing.
"How do you know me?" She demanded.
"We were, I dunno, maybe seven, and Percy had chicken pox..."
Percy shuddered. "It was horrible."
"Whatever whiny queen" I said and Jason smirked.
I glared at him before continuing, "So there was this two day self defence camp or something... and I remember talking to Thalia once."
Thalia muttered, "Oh shit."
I grinned before saying, "She left in like, three hours cause she went and banged into a pine tree. Hard."
Jason was giggling and the others were trying to stifle their laughter.
"So, you're telling me, that my scary sister, barged into a pine tree?" He said, wheezing.
"Yep." I replied back. "Also, your sister?"
Jason cursed and said, "Yeah, I found Thalia at the foster home my mum had sent her to."
"Oh." I didn't press more. I could tell it was a touchy subject.
Thalia scowled at me as Percy muttered, chuckling, "Pinecone Face."
It was a bit weird at first, but they were really nice.
Until Nico went, "Guys, we haven't welcomed Annabeth yet." His dark eyes glinted dangerously.
Percy sent him a sideways, wait, was that a smirk? Oh great.
Hazel went to get Leo, who, for some reason was cleaning Grandma Zhang's fireplace.
"Leo!" Hazel's voice came from somewhere behind him. "We need you."
Apparently, the fireplace could only fit a guy as scrawny as Leo.
"Talk to the pants, Hazel! Cause the hands are busy!"
"I am not talking to the pants. Meet you there, we're gonna welcome Annabeth."
"Oooh. Yeah, fine. I'll be there in a sec."
I swear, I could see feel their evil smirks.
When Leo finally came, covered in soot, his eyes glinted, just as Nico's had. I looked at Percy, who cast me a sympathetic glance.
"So..." Leo said. "Up for Truth or Dare?"
