Percy

I could not have been more confused. Well, there was this one time when someone thought I was a billionaire's kid or something, but that's another story...

But seriously, I could make a list.

So some creep was stalking Annabeth? Well, not on my watch. And definitely not in my city. But here'd be time to deal with all that later. Right now, I was searching for that dam trash can.

Like, how much time would it take to find one in such a big city? I mean, I remember Rachel used to go for all these drives and some would be so boring that I used to fall asleep at them. She and her partner in cleanliness, Grover, they used to... Honestly, I kinda miss them now. I wonder what green things they'd be up to right now.

And to add to that list of confusing things that happen, I stumbled across serial killers. Well most possibly. And not the kind that step on a cornflake. Which reminds me, I need to check off the trash can dilemma. Cause that was kinda where I found them.

An older sounding dude with a voice that brought shivers down my spine was saying.

"...irl ran away."

I heard another guy grunt. "Leave her to me." He sounded much younger, maybe even my age. Was it possible to get more spooked out? Could I just say- YES. VERY MUCH. I suddenly wished I had completed my martial arts training.

The creepy guy (I'm gonna call him that) continued. "So do you want me to call her? She's a phone call away."

The other dude laughed. "No, she doesn't know anything."

"Exactly."

Now I had no clue what they were talking about but I was ready to call the police on them. And I did. After running away, that is. I'm a chicken of sorts.

They couldn't care less. One officer came by, and told my mum to keep an eye on me because she said I was 'possibly distraught.' Aka crazy. Course, she went ballistic on the guy. I think he left with steaming hot dog scars on his face. And cookie batter. I feel bad, his hair was really curly.

See? Told you it was confusing. Ah, now you're assuming I go to bed and life goes back to normal. Well it doesn't. Cause I could hear someone singing. And it came from Annabeths apartment. Now I know, she could be singing just like that, but she sounded so familiar.

Are you ready for it?

Cause then I went to bed.

Well, if you count two hours as 'going to bed.' Because Nico messaged me. That guy is like a ghoul, seriously. And I had had enough excitement for a day.

'Can I call you?' Nico texted.

Muttering to myself, I called him.

"You up?" He asked, his usual sarcasm slightly lacking.

"Now I am..." I grumbled. I could almost see him smiling. But then something changed.

"Uh Percy..." He said.

"Yeah?" I asked, getting much more concerned than I was a few minutes ago.

"So after Frank's house, I went to the doctor's office. To uh... you know? Meet him. But I saw him in the car park making out." He said, his voice cracking a bit.

Oh gods. Poor Nico. I seriously wanted to give that guy a hug.

"Oh Nico..." I started but he cut me off, like he was pulling himself together.

"Anyways, just wanted to tell you. And Jason." He added quickly.

I sighed.

Ever heard the phrase, 'Way too many things happened in a day? Why couldn't life spread them out?'

You probably haven't, cause I just made it up but... that basically described the most eventful day that I've had in seventeen years.

Course, I had no idea what was in store for me.
