It had been a while since I visited this beach. Because it reminds me of you. It reminds everyone of you. I saw her. You'd marvel at how tall and lanky she is now. All of twelve years old, her bare legs sandy as she sits right near the water, enough to see the foam touch her toes.

I don't go closer, none of us do. Estelle just- she simply talks to you. Like she would talk to you if you'd gone away for a while. Not- a place we can't reach.

I could hear her talking, talking to you, Percy.

"Hi Percy."

She was growing, but right then, talking to you, to the ocean, I only saw a little sister.

"It's almost been six years since you left— and mom, mom's getting better. She even made blue food the other night. Annabeth had come over. Annabeth's still very sad though. Mom's worried about her. So am I. When she saw the blue food, I thought she was gunna cry- like the day she did when you left. But then again, we all did. I remember that.

I think it's getting easier for everyone now, all your friends still talk to me, they take me out for movies and Happy Meals.

On a brighter note, Annabeth's new album, it's so famous I can't walk past a shop without hearing her voice. And guess what it's called? Blue! It's actually pretty sad, but there are these tiny happy parts and- basically I think you'll love it. She's like a really cool aunt. Do you want some of the coolest lyrics ever?

I guess you're wondering why mom never comes here to talk. Well I don't know either. She's waiting outside, but she told me to tell you that she loves you.

She got up, and ran across the beach, not turning an eye. I felt a warm hand slip through mine. Her grey eyes were glazed, but sparkling.

And she smiled.

I was taken aback. It had been a long time since I'd seen her smile like that- genuinely happy. I opened my mouth, but she whispered.

"It's okay. Every thing is just- okay," she paused, wistful thunderclouds were all I saw when she said, "We didn't get forever with him, but we have the always."
