Oh. Shit.
So Percy had turned up, with Rachel of all people; AND to top it all off, there was a moment when he'd recognised me. When I was walking through the crowd with waving her sunglasses in air, he'd seen me, and he'd known it was me.
I tried to shake the nervous cold in her off, but my fingers were visibly trembling as I held up the mic for my last song.
It was pretty late by the time everyone decided to leave, but I knew I couldn't just turn up as soon as Percy got home, that would get me way too many questions that I was just too tired to answer. So as soon as I got to the nearest restroom, I pulled off the wig and wiped all the makeup off and just stared at the ground. I thought about that creepy man who'd demanded a 'fisher.' But that was normal, right? Girls get threats all the time. I sighed. I checked my phone.

This time, I knew who it was from. Grover, the sweetheart, always checked on me after a show.
Grover- Hey! Great show! Got a little more than $10,000 for the charity. How are you?
Tired as hell, I wanted to type. We had to decorate the gym after school (gods know why) and when I got back, I needed to get ready for the show. So... yep.
Me- Thanks! That's amazing, and I'm fine Grover, thanks for asking <3.
Half past twelve. It seemed pretty normal to come back now. So I headed out. I would've called a cab, but decided to walk. Tomorrow was my couch potato day. I could use the exercise. It wasn't too far either, maybe around twenty minutes.
I'd walked for about five minutes when I felt someone behind me. I didn't turn, just kept walking, with that unsettling feeling.
That's when it happened. A man's hand covered my mouth. It was surprisingly soft, especially if this dude was gonna hurt me. I tried judo-flipping him, my signature move, while screaming as loud as I could, but he had my wrists clasped tightly. He bent toward my ear. "Get me the fisher and I will not hurt you, Chase."
I pushed him back with the tall heels I'd worn for the show and I fled.
Do not cry, just run, I kept telling myself. And I ran. I decided to take the shortcut through the tiny lane that Percy and me used to use as kids, but just as I was about to cross it, I caught a glimpse of Percy. He was there. With Rachel. And they were holding hands and in deep conversation. Thank gods they didn't notice me as I turned and ran the long way home.

After the show, me and Rachel went to the old alley where we, well talked. It was about half past twelve when I noticed that it was that late.
"Shoot Rachel I gotta go. My mum will incinerate me."
She laughed and got up. "See ya later Percy."
I was just climbing up the stairs when I heard thudding. It was, Annabeth. What was she doing out so late? And oh my gods she was crying. Well, not completely. Her eyes were completely red, and she was panting. I didn't even bother asking what had happened. I just pulled her up the stairs and opened her door for her. Instead of walking in, she just leaned against the wall; her eyes almost shut.
Seeing her like this hurt so much.
After I'd gotten her to bed, I left.
My questions would have to wait.
