Forever and Always [A Percabeth AU]

I'm confused, relieved, creeped out and sad in the best way... Kidding. I was humming '22'.

But what was the fisher? I didn't have a fisher! Also, last I checked it was fisherman, not fisher, if that weird dude was talking about a... well fisherman.

And Percy had almost found out! He'd seen the wig. This was just getting harder and harder.

This may not surprise you, and I'm trying to deny it but Percy's...well...like a super cute seal. Like, I found myself staring at him, which was stupid since I'd seen him a billion times. Still, he...I mean, sure, he'd always been cute, but he was starting to be seriously... well you get the picture.

'Congrats Annabeth. Now you're just  another idiot with huge expectations...and a crush.

Oh and fame.'

But that cold voice bothered me the most. Funny thing was, I'd heard it before. That much I was sure of. But when?

Remember the few weeks when you're crushing on someone hard, have a lot going on, and  possibly meeting serial killers?

Well if that was hard, then dating someone makes it even harder.

Did I forget to mention I'm failing math? Right, write that down people. Add it to a list of things that Percy is super confused about/ Percy is clueless/ Percy is losing it because-

One thing that made my life easier- Nico asked me out, not me. And I said yes. Like, why not? Who knows, maybe it'll be fun.

I was on my way out, when I bumped into Annabeth.  "Oh hey Percy!" She yelled.

"Right here, right here." I muttered.

She smirked. "So you were saying something about dinner tonight at your place?"

Wow she remembered. I forgot, just clarifying. "Uhmm- yeah- uhhh"

"You forgot didn't you?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"Uhm-yes. No. Maybe? But mom wants you over! I won't be there though."

By that point she was shaking her head and had scribbled on a piece of paper-'Warning- Seaweed Brains here.'

"Haa- haa. Very funny." I said.

"But why can't you come?" She asked, the way perky mom's ask why you didn't join their kids' gangs or something.

"Because..." I said, now smiling.

"I got a date!" I screamed.

I thought I saw disappointment cross her face for a second, but she screamed and squealed like a crazy fangirl (which she was).

"It's Nico, right?" She asked, excitedly.

"Yep."

"How. When. Tell me everything."

I laughed. "Jeez Annabeth relax."

She huffed. "You, Percy Jackson, owe me the entire story."

"So where are you off to?" I asked, changing the topic.

"Uh, ice cream. Or more ice cream. I'm not sure."

I mentally facepalmed so as not to get whacked on the head. "I'm heading down to Jason's, wanna come?" I asked.

"Sure." She said. And then she adding, "But we're picking up ice cream on the way, okay? I really want an o—."

"reo ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate chips with extra chocolate sauce?" I guessed.

Annabeth stared at me and then muttered something about me being a stalker and dragged me down the stairs.

After getting her "beloved" apparently, we reached Jason's place. Oh and we met Thalia outside searching for a toad. Believe me, what that girl does, I have no clue.

"Heya guys!"  She yelped, while diving below a car having spotted the said toad. 

"Hey" We yelled back.

"Jason's up, go on. It's pretty obvious you ain't here to help find Neville."

Annabeth looked like she was about to speak fluent fangirl (an art which I have not mastered) so I quickly pulled her along with me.

Jason opened the door still in his PJs which looked—weird? Annabeth read my mind, but opened her mouth first.

"Jason, why do you look like a saggy cow or something?" She asked.

Annabeth had never been one to sugar coat anything. Just by the way.

Jason laughed. And then it dawned on me- those two were friends. Like, of course. Why hadn't I seen it before? They were both stubborn, smart (generally) and loyal.

"So Jason, you wanna go visit Piper? She lives near our place." Annabeth said.

"Sure!" He said a little too eagerly. I winked. He scowled.

"Don't get too close those, Jase. She's sick." I reminded him. This time, I wasn't that lucky and got elbowed in the gut.

When we reached her place, Annabeth said, "Go on Jason. You can manage it from here."

He scowled at the pair of us, and then walked in.

"So Seaweed Brain, wanna go to the beach?"

"Sure." I said. We walked for a while, but then... no it couldn't be...

She was walking towards...me.
