Nico
No, I am not a mood. I don't mope around the fact that my crush got a girlfriend.Whatever. I'm cool. I do not scream about it. Actually, I'm not making promises on that one. Just clarifying I'm not a mood. I'm even meeting Percy for McDonald's tonight.
(I can sense you thinking I'm not okay after what happened with Solace. BUT. I. AM. FINE.)
So I turned up there early, of course. Actually, on time. Percy was late.
He walked in wearing a new blue tee and looked...nervous? Why? I remembered eleven year old me falling for that twelve year old idiot. But I got that much figured, that I don't like him. Also, Percabeth is definitely a thing.
"Hey Neeks." Percy asked, grinning nervously. Again, what's with all the nervousness?
I scowled. "Don't call me that Jackson."
He shrugged and started picking on his chicken nuggets. After like, nine minutes of this awkward silence (yes, I counted. I was bored) I asked him. "I'll bite, Percy. What's up with you today? You keep looking at me weirdly and I hate to break it to you but you are super nervous!"
He slowly placed the nugget down. He stuttered, "Well, this isn't the date I expected Nico!"
I choked. Literally. Like, on my coke. Argh. Now I'm wet. But more importantly, WHAT!!? A DATE!?!? WHEN HOW WHICH WHAAA—
And while that was what my brain was doing, I calmly told him, "Percy, I'm sorry you got this impression. But it's gonna take me a while to get over Will. And Percy, you're cute and all, but seriously, you're not my type. Sorry."
Yes, I think I put all that pretty well. I still felt pretty bad for him and I saw him get up clumsily, dropping ketchup all over the floor. "Stupid..." He muttered as he started cleaning it up with a paper towel. When he was done, he told me, "Well, I'd better go Nico. Sorry."
But very unlike me, I stopped him and grabbed his arm. "Don't go!" I yelped a little too fast.
He looked at me warily, "Seriously Nico. I'm sorry. This is very embarrassing."
"Percy wait! We're still friends, right? Can't we forget this happened and enjoy the happy meal?" I asked, hopefully. I don't know why. I don't usually need people's company. But I think Percy needed this.
And so we had a pretty nice happy meal. Why wouldn't it be nice, after all?

Percy
The happy meal was nice, I guess. Still kinda awkward, but okay.
When I walked back home, Rachel was still there. I didn't see Annabeth though. (Why did I feel a bit disappointed)
The look on my face must've given it away. Rachel ran up to me and hugged me. And it felt nice.
But how was I to know that there was a glaring Annabeth standing right behind me?
