I've always been running my whole life.

Its what I do.

I'd run away from everything rather than to face it.

Like what I'm doing now. Running away from something I know wants to kill me.

I was trapped in this nightmare and there was no escape.

My energy was gone but I was still sprinting across the dark streets looking for my house.

It wasn't there.

I desperately tried with all my might to carry on.

My legs had finally given up. I felt them shake as I fell to the ground.

I closed my eyes, submitting to my fate.

It felt as if something was piercing into my back, right into my heart. I gasped for air.

This pain felt real.

My voice was gone so I couldn't scream.

The stabbing feeling was crushing deeper and deeper into me, impaling me until finally this madness drove me to open my eyes.

That face. The one I saw in the forest, it was in front of me.

I screached and this time I could hear the high pitch sound of my voice, like an animals when they knew that they were going to die.

I woke up in a cold sweat, panting.

Both Connie and Ayesha were sitting above me, staring down at me with their eyebrows raised and their eyes wide.

'Are you okay, Raven?' Connie asked nervously.

I looked at her, she looked worried.

'What do you mean?' I murmered, rubbing my eyes.

'You sounded like you were having a bad dream.' Ayesha answered me softly.

'Yeah, you were screaming, like, really loudly.'

'It sounded as if you were in pain,'

'I'd be surprised if you haven't woken up any neighbours.'

There was a knock on the door.

'Whoops, there they are,' Connie pointed at the door 'I'll get it,'

She opened the door. It was Claude, probably here to complain about the noise; my screams.

'Is everything alright?' He questioned with a surprising tone of concern in his voice.

Connie replied,'Its alright, Raven just had a nightmare.'

Through the door, he looked my way and without permission, entered my apartment.

'You okay now, Simmons?' He asked me directly.

There was this kind of warmth in his voice. Something I've never heard from him before, not since the night he had saved me from that man.

'I'm fine,' I squeaked.

Squeaked? That's not like me. I never squeak.

I got up from the pile of cushions that was supposed to be my bed.

Connie and Ayesha had left the living room and entered my room to presumably change into their clothes, leaving me and Claude on our own.

He was still staring at me.

I blushed violently and started to pull the hem of my nightdress down so it covered the top of my legs.

'Are you sure you're okay?' He asked again.

'Yes,' I replied impatiently, 'I said I'm fine.'

'Then why are you crying?' He pointed at my face.

'I'm not cr-' I felt the dampness of tears roll down my cheek. I quickly wipeded it off.

I stumbled into my room, deciding that I should start changing too.

When I entered the room, my friends were already dressed.

'So, how did it go?' Connie asked with her signature eyebrow waggle.

I let out a loud scoff.

'So that's why you left us alone.' I said, rolling my eyes.

'Answer my question~' Connie sang.

'Awkward. So awkward.'

She arched her brow. ' A match maker's job well done.'

I poked her shoulder 'Fine 'Cupid', let's go school now.'

I ushered them out of the house and the three of us began to walk to the college.

(A/N OMG I'm freaking out. Over a hundred views! *wipes away tears of joy* thank you, thank you.)
