Two years later

I sat in front of the mirror, brushing my long dark hair because Claude keeps telling me if I don't, I'll loose all my beautiful hair and be bald food the rest of my life.

I'm turning twenty one tomorrow but Claude laughs and says 'No, you're turning 50,' and I reply 'Just a reminder, you're twenty one as well, in fact you turned twenty one before me you senior citizen.'

This year, I'm just going to spend my birthday with Claude because he says he has a surprise for me later on but I know he's just talking about birthday sex.

'Raven!' Claude shouts, running into the room like crazy 'Guess what I got!'

'What?' I say, putting the brush down.

He shows me a white envelope in his hand 'Think its an early birthday card?' He asks.

'I don't know, just give it to me,' I hold out my hand.

'Nope,' he says

'Please,' I beg but he just walks out of the room yelling 'come and get it!'

I roll my eyes and get up from my seat, chasing after him.

'Give it, Claude!' I run down the stairs after him.

'Catch me first!!!'

He runs around other house for like what I think is ten hours before we both stop, out of breath and exhausted.

'Can you give me the envelope now?' I complain, sitting down on the sofa because I'm tired after all that running and chasing but not catching Claude because he's too goddamn fast.

'Of course my darling fiancee,' he says in a posh voice, finally handing it to me.

In open the envelope to find it's only a letter and not a birthday card.

I laugh because I ran all that much just for a letter and then my smile fades when I finish reading it.

'What?' Claude asks and I hand him back the letter.

He reads it out loud.

Dear Raven,
We are both so happy for you! We knew that you would make the right choice and we're sure Claude will keep you very happy. We know we can't see you on that special day but when that day comes, just remember that we love you very much.
And when you feel lonely, just remember that Claude is there and he will love you, maybe even more than we already do.

With all our love on your wedding day,

He stopped reading, squinting at the paper and his eyes going wide.

'Mom and dad?!' He yelled 'Your mom and dad?! But they're...'

'I know,' my eyes go watery.

'What kind of sick prank is this....?' He takes the envelope an flips it over and over and he finds a date. 'Look,'

He hands it to me 'This is two years before they died. How is that possible?'

I fidgit with my ring, the one Claude gave to me 'Maybe they knew,' I whispered.

'That's impossible,'

'I'm a demon, that's possible. You proposed to me, that's possible. Then how can this not be possible?'

'Its creepy,' he admits.

'I know that.'

'But it's kind of cool too.'

'How is it cool?' I ask.

'Because they could read the future. I mean, this letter was written fourteen years ago.'

He hands me the letter, sitting on the sofa, next to me.

A few years back, we would never in our wildest dream imagine us together but here we are, arguing over how many children we're gonna have and whether the first one's gonna be a boy or a girl.

We still fight sometimes and say we hate each other but we know we really don't.

'Do you want to have ice cream or cupcakes for lunch today?' He asks, putting his arm around me and squeezing me tight

'Both,' I say, smiling because he knows I'm supposed to be on a diet.

The end.......?

Yeah, don't worry it's the end.

Thank God.
