It had already been a minute and the door still hadn't opened.

'Are you sure she's here?' I finally asked.

'She's supposed to be,' he answered back.

The door had finally opened.

'UNCLE CLOUD!' The girl behind it screamed.

'Shhh!' He said, covering her mouth. We both entered the house.

The Christmas lights were still up including the Christmas tree.

'Where's your mom?' He asked Amber, who had reattached herself onto Claude's leg.

'At work.' She giggled.

'And your dad?'

'At work,'

'They left a kid all alone,' I gasped.

'Not alone. Alex is here too!'

Suddenly, Alex burst into the room, wearing a costume cape and super hero mask.

'But you're both kids,'

'Chill, their both demons too,' Claude said They're not as helpless as you think they are,'

His eyes went solid black and so did Alex's and the both started to play wrestle on the floor.

'You'll hurt him,' I told Claude, trying to break the two up.

With his little arm, Alex put Claude in a headlock.

'Who's hurting who?' Claude chocked, trying to pull Alex's arm away from his neck.

'You're getting stronger,' Claude laughed, ruffling Alex's hair.

He smiled, his tiny fangs fully visible.

'Do you think Josie will mind if we stay?' I asked Claude as we both walked up the stairs.

'Nope,'

He led me to the small guest room.

It was extremely clean. The walls were painted white and so were the curtains and bed spread.

There was a shaggy, white rug on the white woodden floor.

'Why is everything so white?' I asked.

Claude shrugged his shoulders.

We placed both our backpacks on the floor.

'I'm making some food,' Claude sighed, leaving the room.

'What are you making?' I followed him down the stairs.

He shrugged his shoulders again.

'What do you want for lunch?' He asked the two children.

'Cupcakes!' Screamed Amber.

'ICE CREAM!' Yelled Alex.

'Sounds good enough,' Claude replied, entering the kitchen 'We'll have cupcakes and ice cream.'

He took of his hoodie and wore an apron he found over the t shirt he was wearing inside.

'Do you even know how to bake cupcakes?' I questioned him.

'Of coarse I know.' He replied 'I'm not stupid.'

He retrieved a bowl and ingredients and placed them on the kitchen counter.

'Do you want to help?' He asked.

I nodded.

'I'm the best at making cupcakes,' I stated.

'Actually, I think mine will be better.' He added.

'But I know mine will be better!'

The twins entered the kitchen, with smiles stretched on their faces.

'Bake off! Bake off!' The chanted.

Claude held out his hand 'Bake off?'

I placed my hand on his, and we shook hands.

'Bake off.' I replied.

(A/N I was hungry when I wrote this chapter which probably explains why they he'd a bake off)
