Claude's lips were still on mine.
My brain was finding it hard to process what was happening.
Was Claude kissing me?!
I pulled away, wiping my mouth.
'What in the actual fuck was that for?!' I yelled at him.
He pointed up to the ceiling. Dangling down was a vine of mistletoe.
He wiped his mouth. 'Don't think I enjoyed that, Simmons. But rules are rules. Especially Christmas rules.'
'You could have just walked away, you IDIOT!'
My face was burning and I could see Claude's cheeks were red, too.
'You look like a tomato,' he laughed.
'Speak for yourself,'I replied. 'You got me by surprise!'
He leaned down to my face. 'Then do you want to do it again? This time, you'll be ready.'
I shut my eyes and nodded. What?! Why did I nod?!
He gently pressed his lips back onto mine. He had placed both his hands on my waist. I slowly wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
His lips were warm and soft. I'd never imagined they'd be this soft.
One of his hands reached up to undo my hair.
We found ourselves laying on the sofa still kissing until our lips finally pulled apart. His arms were still wrapped around me.
'Raven,' he whispered softly into my ear. This was the first time he had called me by my first name in a tone like this.
He smirked 'I bet that Allen will never be able to kiss you better than I can.'
I pushed him off the sofa. He started to laugh.
I tried to leave the room by walking over him. But he grabbed me by the ankle and pulled me down with him.
I got up again and this time ran to my room so that he wouldn't be able to pull me down the second time.
I had this strange feeling in my stomach as I lay down on my bed. I wrapped the blanket around myself and tried to fall asleep.
