It was Saturday. Right about now, shopping for groceries was essential.

Since there wasn't any classes today, I decided to head to town. It was getting colder, so I had to wear an extra thick coat. Weather wise.

First, I bought some food, seeming how my fridge was empty. After I had bought everything I needed, I started looking for any clothes that were on sale. By the time it was 4:00 pm, I had already bought two sets of jeans, three pairs of shoes, a party dress and five tops that were on offer.

I saw some personalised calendars on sale which reminded me how close my birthday was.

It was in a week.

For some reason, I didn't feel like celebrating my birthday this year. I knew that maybe Connie or Ayesha were probably going to get me something.

I wonder what Claude would get me this year.

Not that I care.

Only, last year he got me a half usen gift card for some European DIY shop no ones ever heard of.

The year before, he hadn't gotten me anything.

Typical Claude.

I wouldn't be surprised if he forgets this year as well.

Not that I care.

It was getting below freezing so I started to walk home, thinking about all the failed birthdays I'be had so far.

Maybe that's why I don't want to celebrate it this year. Because I don't want yet another disappointment.

When I arrived home I took a nice warm bubble bath.

I wore the new party dress I had just bought and wore a cardigan over it. The dress came below my knee which was good. Usually, my tall, lanky build meant most dresses would never cover my abnormally long legs. I was just glad they weren't boney as well as long, otherwise I'd look like I was on stilts.

I exited my apartment once again, gently closing the door behind me.

Time for the night shift.

(A/N I hope you enjoyed this chapter too! I seriously hope it was good enough. I'll try and make the next chapter a bit better if I can!)
