Raven's POV

We were walking through the empty streets.

My head hurt like hell.

The cold was starting to bite on my pale wet skin. I shivered.

Claude must have seen me because he did the most surprising thing as to take off his coat and hand it too me.

'Why are you suddenly being so nice to me?' I asked, refusing the coat.

He shrugged his shoulder.

We carried on walking around in a circle.

'Let's go back in,' I finally said, shivering like mad.

Claude took his coat off again and wrapped it around me.

'No, I don't want to go back,' he said.

'Why not?'

'I want to be alone with you,' he said, flushing red.

I stopped walking, 'But you said you don't like me.'

'That's right.'

'And you want to be alone with someone you don't like?'

'Yep,' he nodded.

'What's wrong with you?' I yelled 'Why are you so confusing?'

He did his signature shoulder shrug.

I walked off, heading back to the restaurant.

'Idiot,' I muttered under my breath.

I could feel his long fingers wrap around my wrist, pulling me back.

'Don't get so steamed,' he laughed.

I cooled down for a moment, looking at him.

He was smiling.

Claude walked away from the restaurant again, pulling me with him.

We came across an alleyway, dark and silent.

He entered, not giving a damn about any think that could happen, dragging me along too.

He sat on the cold gravel, back facing the wall.

I sat down opposite him. I could feel the icy wall against my skin even if I was wearing a coat.

'Where do you want to go tomorrow?' He asked, his voice so soft and warm it made me melt.

I shivered. Not because it was cold, because there was this weird feeling trapped inside of me and I think it was breaking free.

It felt so strange whenever I was with Claude now.

It definitely wasn't love. Demons can't love.

Claude said so himself.

But still, this feeling had been attacking me ever since...

I couldn't remember.

'What?' He snapped.

I'd forgotten to reply so it looked like I was staring at him, while I was thinking.

'Nothing,' I assured.

Should I tell Claude what I was feeling? Did he ever feel like this with me around?

I decided to tell him. I needed answers.

'Claude...' I stuttered.

'Hm?' He looked towards me.

'I feel weird...' I stammered '...whenever you're...' I could find the words to explain to him so immediately cut off the sentence.

He just stared at me.

I gave another attempt 'ever since you....I feel like...you...'

I finally gave up.

Claude began to laugh hysterically.

I went red and glared at him. He always had to make situations bad.

I glared at him some more, feeling rage fill my body.

'You look so adorable when you're angry,' he sniggered, poking my nose.

I shoved him gently in the shoulder and obviously he shoved me back still laughing.

'Of all the people in the world, I had to be stuck with you,'

'You don't have to be stuck with me,' he said 'You can just leave.

'Fine I will,' I snapped, standing up with the heels in my hand.

He pulled me back down, 'Just kidding,' he laughed.

'You're so annoying,' I muttered.

'Your annoying-er,' he stuck out his tounge.

I stuck out my own, returning the gesture.

Both of us acted like kids, picking on each other like children.

He moved closer to me, leaning against me, obviously cold from the weather.

White mist escaped our mouth as we breathed.

'I think we should go inside now,' I said softly 'Its getting darker and colder,'

'No,' he replied. 'This cold dark place is where we belong. Where I belong.'

He shuffled even closer, resting his head on my shoulder.

'Happy new year,' he sighed holding my hand and giving it a little squeeze.

Why was he doing this?

Right now, I wanted to know what was going on in his troubled mind.
