Chapter 14

I wake up to someone talking extremely loudly.
I look over and see Jaden in the balcony talking on the phone with someone and walking around. He seemed angry. I pick my phone up and see a couple messages from an unknown number.
Unknown number- hi Jess I don't mean to make this awkward but I really enjoyed talking to you last night and decided to ask for your number from Bryce. I hope we can hang out soon. - Harry:)
I save his number as 'Harry'
Me- hi Harry no it's all ok. I had fun with you too. We can meet again sometime.
I glare at Jaden and he's still on the phone. I get out of bed and grab my clothes and step out of the room. I know this is wrong and that I'm leaving things uncertain with him after what happened last night. But I still don't know how I feel about him.
I walk in the living room and see Avani and Anthony making TikToks.
"Avani we have to leave" I tell her and she looks at me. "And you're driving." I tell her and pass her the keys giving Anthony a small smile as I'm in no mood of big once. She catches them and kisses Anthony goodbye and follows me.
"What wrong with you?" She asks, catching upto me.
"I'll tell you when we reach the apartment." I tell her rubbing my eyes.
"Oh I forgot to tell you. Addison will be hanging out with us today. She's driving home with us and then we're all hanging then we're going out for sushi. The other girls wanted to come but turns out it's Nessa and Josh's 6 month and she wants to be with him. Olivia's roommate is having a party and she's going there and Dixie has to go to a meeting with Charli so they can't make it." She tells me.
"Yeah Addison told me. Is she staying over after dinner? She told me there was gonna be a girls night." I ask, putting my seatbelt on.
"Yeah, call her and ask her to come out." I do the same.
"Are you okay? You seem extra sad this morning." She asks me.
"Yeah I'll tell you and Addison when we reach home." I tell her. She nods. Addison finally comes and sits in the back seat. Avani and Addison are talking about the pimples Addison has been getting the whole way home and I say nothing.
When we reach home I get into the shower as that is the only thing that can get me to completely wake up. I wrap a towel around my body and run to my room. I set Jaden's hoodie and sweatpants in my dresser abd slip into Avani's merch's hoodies and black tights.
I walk out of my room and see Addison and Avani making tiktoks I join them and they smile looking at me as I didn't know the dance and was doing it wrong.
"So Jess, what were you so mad about today?" Avani asks me sitting on the couch. Addison and I sit on another couch and I start.
"So, Jaden kissed me yesterday" I tell them and I see Avani's eyes grow wide but Addison just smiles.
"WAIT WHAT??" Avani asks me, shouting.
"I saw this coming. Come on Jess have you seen the way he looks at you? I was telling Bryce that something will happen between you two yesterday when you left the room." She smiles. Avani looks at her
"Guys I don't know what I think about it. I don't know if I like him." I look down and start to play with my nails.
"First, tell us how it happened" Avani says, finally breaking her silence. I tell them everything from me borrowing clothes to him holding my haind. After a few aww's and wow's later Avani speaks.
"So you just left the room?" She ask me with a hint of disappointment on their face.
"Yeah, he was on the phone and I didn't know what to talk to him about. You guys know I'm awkward." I sigh.
"Jess, you know how confused he must be right now? He might be thinking that you hate him for kissing you" Avani almost shouts.
"I don't hate him. It's just that he took me by surprise." I'm so frustrated right now.
"I think you should first figure out how you feel about him. If you lead him on and you're not interested that would be very wrong on your part." Addison speaks. I let out a hmm and nothing else. Avani and Addison go on about how nice he is and from how long they know him. I picked up my phone and texted Jaden.
Me- hi Jaden. I'm sorry that I just walk out of your room this morning. You were busy on a a call and I didn't want to disturb you. I was hoping if we can talk?
I show the message to Vani and Addison and they nod their heads then I press send.
Me vani and Addison hung out for the whole day. We watched lots of Netflix. Addison shouted a never have I ever with the both of us for her YouTube channel.
At 6pm, my phone pings and I see that it's Jaden.
Jaden- hi:) yeah, that was my manager, I'm sorry. I can pick you up and we can go to CickfilA and talk?
"Guys, he texted me back."I showed the girls the message.
"Say yes" Addison says.
"But what about our dinner?" I ask looking at the girls.
"Screw dinner me and Avani will order postmates, other girls aren't here anyways we can reschedule. You have you talk to him Jess." Addison says.
"Ok" I say and start typing on my phone.
Me- Yeah sure. When will you be here?
Jaden-be there in 10.
"He's here in 10" I smile looking towards my friends.
"I can tell you like him" Avani says smiling at me.
"What? How can you tell that I like him or no when I can't?" I chuckled. She leave my question unanswered.
I choose not to change as I am too lazy. I just let my hair down in my shoulders. About 12 mins later I get a text
Jaden- hey I'm here. Can you come out?
Me- yup be right there:)
I hug my friend bye and walk out of the door
