Trust me - Jaden Hossler

Chapter 22

I reach home jamming to my car playlist and order Taco Bell. I turn on the office which I'm currently addicted to because of the one and only Jaden Hossler.

I watch the office for about 3 hours till 12:30 in the morning eating my taco and then I realise that I'm sleepy. I text Avani and confirm if she has her key and can let herself in even after I sleep. She replies in a few minutes saying that she does. I turn the tv off and walk into the room and take off my clothes to change into a night suit I see that all mine are gone since I haven't done my laundry since a couple of days. I walk into the bathroom Avani and I share to find some of her night suits. I don't find her's but I find Jaden's hoodies from the day he slept on my couch. I smile and change into it.

I lay down on my bed wearing nothing but Jaden's hoodie that smells like him and some shorts which weren't even visible considering how long his hoodie was.

After a few minutes of trying to get myself to sleep I hear my phone going off. I look at it and see it's Jaden FaceTiming me. I accept it and keep my phone on the nightstand in a way that I don't have to hold it.

"Hey, did I wake you?" He says. He had he had his headphones in so I could tell that he was playing video games. "Hey, yeah I almost slept" I tell him rubbing my eyes. "Is that my sweatshirt?" He asks with a smile on his face. "Uh- oh yeah I haven't done my laundry in a long time so-" he cuts me off. "It's ok Jess, it looks better on you" he winks at me. I blush burring my head into the pillow. We talk for a few minutes and I realise that it's almost 1:30am. "Jaden I have to sleep" I whine, closing my eyes. "Ok, sleep with me on ft" he says and smile. "Ok" I hesitate. I feel awkward for a few minutes but after that I really don't care because i was extremely sleepy. "You're so beautiful Jess" I hear him say and this brings butterflies to my stomach but I don't respond.

I woke up and saw that it was 11:30 am holy shit I over slept. I walk out of my room rubbing my eyes and walking in the kitchen to make myself some coffee. The moment I was about to enter the kitchen I saw Jaden on my couch. "Jaden? What are you doing here?" I say walking towards him. For a few seconds he doesn't say anything he just looks at his hoodie that I'm wearing. "Jaden!!" I say to gain his attention. "Oh-Uh-yeah Anthony wanted me to pick him up so" he says. "Oh" I say and walk into the kitchen.

I make myself coffee and go and sit beside him with my mug. "So, I have to tell you something" I say. Not telling him about Harry's message has been eating me. I feel like I've done something wrong and I have to tell him what's up. "Ok?" He says putting his phone on his lap looking at me. I begin "so, Harry texted me yesterday" I say. He looks at me with clenched teeth expecting me to continue. "He asked me if I wanted to go ice skating with him 'like a date'." I say. He doesn't say anything. "But i dint reply." I say and I feel him getting a little but relaxed. "Um ok" he says. "Jaden I don't want you to get mad-" he cuts me. "I'm not mad Jess..it's not like we're dating" he says. I choose not to say anything after this. He's right, it's not like we're dating.
