Chapter 44

I sigh which pushing my hair back from my forehead. "What are you doing here, Katie?" Jaden says, clearly out of breath. "Well, I was looking for the bathroom" she answers, leaning against the door, folding her arms. "Yeah, no shit you were" I mumble, loud enough to make everyone in the room hear me. Jaden smiles at me for a second and the looks back at Katie. "What are you still doing here? Get out" he slightly shouts. She smiles sarcastically and walks out of the room.

"So, where were we?" He said, leaning closer to me, and started kissing my neck. "Uh, I think we are making out and your ex girlfriend was at the door." I smile sarcastically and get up from the bed. He sighs. I wear my shoes back on and walk towards the door, the moment I'm about to open it I reach a hand out for Jaden to hold. He slightly smiles and gives me his hand and we walk out.

When we reach the common room, I see people I have never seen before. I see that Josh is filming. Bryce is shotguning some red bulls. Nessa and Avani are dancing. Addison and Dixie are talking in the corner with a drink in their hand. I walk out to see that people are jumping into the pool from the roof of the house. I laugh. I look around and see Katie on the poolside, in her red swimsuit, tanning. Is this a place to tan, miss? It's a party going on. I ignore my thoughts and go my inside. I stand in the corner and smile at the view until Griffin approach's me.

"Jesss, there you are." He's clearly drunk. "What's up?" I smile. "You gotta do some shots." He says, leaning on the wall beside me. "No, Griff, I got so drunk that I threw up last time." I almost whine. "Look at Jaden" he points at Jaden standing in a corner talking to a guy named Blake but his eyes were on me. The moment I looked at him he smiles lightly and rubbed his neck with his right hand. I smile and look back at Griffin. "What about him?" I ask. "Dude that guy never stops talking about you it's annoying" he rolls his eyes. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "All the nights we stay up playing video games, he always talks about you. 'Jess is this, Jess is that, she's so cute' blah blah blah" he laughs I join him. "I'm lucky to have him." I smile and brush my hair off of my face and look back at Jaden. "DATE ALREADY" he shouts and leaves me alone.

After a few minutes, I grab a coke and sit on the sofa beside Addison. We talk for a few minutes and when Bryce comes and sits with us and join us. He plants a small kiss on Addison's forehead and lays his head down on her shoulder and closes his eyes. He's probably tired after all the partying. After a few seconds Addison's hand find their way into Bryce's hair. THEY LOOK SO CUTE.

After a few minutes of feeling like a loner in front of the cutest couple I know, I walk out to see everyone in the pool. Including Katie. I can't help but notice that she is close to Jaden. After standing there for about a minute, Josh calls out to me. "Jess, join us!!" He shouts. Everyone looks at me and Katie rolls her eyes after. Bitch. "No, it's fine I was just leaving." I smile and start to walk back inside.

I look at my phone and it's 10:45pm. Why am I already tired even though I did practically nothing? I start to walk to my room and Addison calls out for me. "Jess, can you help me carry Bryce?" She whispers-shouts trying not to wake Bryce up. "Sure" I say. I put one arm of Bryce around my shoulder and one of it is around Addison's. We try to lift him up but he's too heavy from both of us to carry so we both fall on the couch at the same time and start laughing. Addison's laugh is beautiful.

"Why are you guys laughing?" We hear someone's voice from the back. We turn around to se it's Jaden, followed by Josh with his arm around Nessa's shoulder followed by almost everyone I saw outside. "Can you guys carry Bryce to our room? He's passed out on the couch" Addison asks the boys. Jaden and Josh carry Bryce to Addi's and Bryce's room and walk back in the the common room where everyone is seated.

Jaden takes a seat beside me but I maintain a distance for some reason. "Let's play something." Katie suggests. "What?" Kio asks, putting his hand in Olivia's. "Umm..spin the bottle?" She says picking up an empty bottle kept on the floor. "I'm down" Blake says. "Me too" Indiana says, almost everyone joins. "I'm not playing" I say. "Why?" Jaden whispers in my ear. "I just don't feel like." I smile. He's about to say something but Katie cuts him off. "Ok if you're not playing, you can't sit here." She says, and puts her hand on her waist. I feel tears almost coming down my eyes but I ignore them.

I stand up and as I'm about to walk, I feel Avani hold my hand. She pulls me and makes me sit back in my place. "Vani-" I whine. "Get out, Katie" she almost shouts. "Wha-" she's cut off. "Wasn't she clear? OUT." Cynthia joins Avani. "Why?" Katie asks. "Well, I don't know miss. Was it the fact that you invited yourself here or the fact that you're trying to throw our best friend out of a game." Dixie say. "Whatever, I didn't wanna come anyway" she says. She picks up her bag and walks in to the bathroom. After a few minutes, she walks out wearing her full clothes and walks out of the main gate.

Everyone is quite for a few minutes. After a few seconds Avani pulls me into a hug. Cynthia and Olivia walk towards us and join us. "You guys are too sweet" I say, a tear falling down my eye. The moment we pull away, Nessa and Dixie run towards us. "Again, we missed it" they say and we all hug one more time. "Addison is not here" I whisper to the girls. "We can have one more hug with her tomorrow" Nessa says, making everyone laugh. After what feels like an hours, we pull away and I feel tears in my eyes. After a few minutes, Jaden gets up and walks inside the room.

I talk with the girls for a few minutes until the boys finish going to their room. Blake and Indiana stay over so Josh shows them to their room. "Ok guys, I'm gonna go to bed it's late" I say. "Yeah me too." Dixie says. We both get up and start walking towards our rooms.

When I reach mine I knock on the door and walk in. I see Jaden sleeping in the bed with his clothes on. Why didn't he change? He hates sleeping with a shirt. I quickly get into the bathroom and change into one of my night suits. I walk out and I see that Jaden is shirtless, wearing sweatpants, and is scrolling through tiktok. He hasn't said a word since Katie went and that making me nervous.

I get into bed and put a blanket on myself lightly. I close my eyes and try to go to sleep without Jaden's arm around me. It's almost like it's a habit for him to do that.

Jaden's POV

When I'm sure that Jess is asleep, I put my phone on the nightstand and look at her. It makes me so mad that I didn't say anything to Katie when she was trying to send Jess away. I feel like she is mad at me. She didn't even wear my sweatshirt to sleep in tonight. I sigh. Stop screwing thing up with her, Jaden. I tell myself. I lightly put my arm around her waist, trying not to wake her up, and place a small kiss on her nose. "Goodnight baby" I whisper and fall asleep is probably the most comfortable position possible.

Note- I'm sorry for a late update but I'm just not feeling upto writing this since I got to know about the arrest. It's just making me sad and I don't like writing when I'm sad. Some of you are asking me to speak on it. I truly don't know what went down and some people are just spreading rumours which is ridiculous. I hope the boys are ok. I hope all of you are doing fine and are being safe. Thank you for reading:))
