Chapter 40

After a few hours, we reach McDonald's to get lunch. "Jaden, wake up, we're here." I say to the sleepy boy laying on me. I have to say the position is uncomfortable but he looked so cute I couldn't say no. "We're in Texas?" He says rubbing his eyes. "No, we're at McDonald's for lunch." I slightly laugh. I see a smile on his face and then he moves closer to me. He pecks my lips and I slightly smile. "What's wrong?" He asks me. Clearly worried. "Nothing, everything ok." I lie. After going through my dm's, I feel like Jaden deserves someone better than me. I mean.. look at him. He was about to say anything but I ignore it and walk out of the car.

Everyone get their orders and start to walk back to the car. I get a happy meal of course. "Ok, who's driving now?" Bryce questions. No one says anything for about 20 seconds. "I'll drive." I say. I hate driving but I have to distract myself from my thoughts. "Wait, you wanna drive?" Avani says, surprised. "Yeah" I say and grab the keys from Bryce and walk towards the door. As I was about to work it, I see Jaden walking over to me. "Hey, you sure you wanna drive? I can drive." He says. I wanna kiss him so bad right now. "Yeah I'm sure" I smile. I open the car door and start the engine. I see everyone taking their places in the back and Jaden sits beside me.

"You want me to feed you?" Jaden asks me, breaking the silence. We've been driving for about 10 minutes now and he's done with his food. "No, I'm good. I'm not that hungry." I look at him and smile. "Come on Jess, when are you 'not hungry' for a happy meal." He questions. He is right though, I'm starving. "Ok, Mr. Hossler, feed me then." I smile. He picks up the bag of food from my lap and opens it. He starts to feed me the burger. About 5 mins later, I'm finishing with the burger. "You want fries now?" He asks me. "Yup" I say and he smile. He starts feeding me fries, without ketchup because he know I hate ketchup. After 5 minutes we're finished with that too. "You can have the chicken nuggets." I say. "Already did. I know you're a vegetarian, Jess" I can tell he has a smile on his face. I look at him and slightly smile. "Um, you have a little.." I look at him and he is pointing towards the corner of my lips. "Oh uh.." I start to wipe the corner with my hands. "Is it gone now?" I ask him. "No, wait." He says and moves his hand to my lips and wipe it for me. "Thanks" I blush. He doesn't says anything.

After a about 4 hours of driving, my back is stiff. In these two hours we have been jamming on Jaden's playlist. I look at Jaden and he is changing the music. "What?" He asks me. "Nothing, my back is stiff." I complain. "Then we can swich. Pull over." He says. "Anthony, you're driving." I say and pull over. Anthony makes a small annoyed expression and I slightly laugh. Avani and Anthony move in the front and me and Jaden move to the back again.

Jaden sits beside me and I lay my head on the window and try to get some sleep. Anthony starts driving. After a few minutes, Jaden realises that I'm uncomfortable and he moves my head to his lap making me lay down. "Jaden." I slightly whine. "Shh" he says and starts to move his hands in my hair. The action made me calm. He places a small kiss on my forehead and I go off to sleep.

I wake up to Jaden still playing with my hair. "Jess." He says. "What" I whine. "We're here." He whispers. "Wait what?" It's an 18 hour trip." I say. I get up from his lap and look out the window and it's dark. I look at Anthony still in the driver's seat. "Oh my god Anthony, did you drive the whole way?" I ask him, surprised. "No, I drove the Avani switched with me and then Addison switched with Avani and then it was Bryce and no it's me. Jaden has a excuse of not waking you up when he gets up so he got out of it." I look at Jaden. "Well, you're welcome." I smile and open the car door and get up.

Note- guys some of you had concerns about me not making the Harry in the book Harry styles. I'm making his character mean, why would you want the from Harry Styles? He's a sweetie. Also, I was reading comments about someone saying vegetarians can have eggs. Where I'm from, vegetarian don't have eggs. I don't know about you all. I thought I would make this clear here because the comments were increasing.
