Chapter 4

I don't think he noticed I was standing there. Avani looked at me.
"Come join us for the photos Bebe" she told me. I went and stood in between Avani and Anthony.
Jaden paused for a second. He wasn't taking our photos he was just looking at me. His eyes met mine and I felt awkward. I looked at Avani and whispered "why isn't he taking the photos?"
She looked at me and laughed "he's checking you out bebe" she winked at me
"No he is not" I blushed. Why would he check me out?
"Anthony would you please tell Jess that he is checking her out" she whispered to Anthony so only me and Anthony could hear.
"He's checking you out Jess" he looked me and i burry my face in Avani's neck.
"Jaden, stop checking my best friend out and take the picture for gods sake" Avani shouted at Jaden
"Oh- uh, I wasn't checking her out." He says and he pointed the camera towards us again. "See" I whispered to Avani
"Yeah, like he's gonna admit that" she laughs.
We take many photos. My favourite one was when Avani and Anthony kissed my cheek. Avani called dibs on it and me and Anthony weren't able to post it on our Instagram.
We were walking towards the car and Avani walked past me to Anthony and Jaden. After a few seconds I realised that Jaden was walking towards me. I smiled at him.
"They kicked me out." He said laughing.
"I know how it feels" I say looking down at the ground.
"Uh-btw you look hot I guess" he says. I blush at the compliment.
"Thanks I guess" I laugh
"What? You called me hot first" he defends himself.
"Well, technically I called your hair hot" I laugh at him.
"Whatever" he rolls his eyes and sits in the car.
Geez, he's not one for jokes.
Avani and Anthony wanted to sit together so me and Jaden had to sit in the back seat together. Avani gave me the aux cord so I put on my playlist.
Avani and Anthony loves my taste in music. Whenever we go out for a ride I'm always the one putting music on.
Me and Avani were lip syncing the lyrics to "who run the world? Girls" and we didn't even know when the next song came on.
It was Comatose by Jaden. Yes. You heard me. The Jaden sitting right beside me. I remember Avani telling me he's a good singer and played this song for me. The moment I heard this song I fell in love with it.
"Uh, is that my song?" Jaden looks at me with a smile on his face.
"Uh yeah Vani put it in there" I lie. Yes it is and I love it. I wanted to say but the awkward person that I am blamed it all on Avani.
"I did?" Avani asked looking through the mirror.
"Yeah you did don't you remember" I said in a weird voice
"Oh yeah, I did" she looked a me and don't make me do this again look.
"Oh ok" Jaden said his smiles faded away and he looked back at his phone
"It's nice though I like it" I said to him in a comforting voice.
"Ha, I know, thanks" he said, still looking at his phone. Way to embarrass yourself Jess.
We reached the sway house and Anthony pulled into the driveway. We all got out of out car and walked in. Anthony interlocking his hand with Avani's.
