Chapter6-Rick

A week later
Mia's P.O.V.

I woke up in the same position I was in last night. I had to make sure not to wake Carl up.

Today was Carl's birthday and I wanted to make sure Glenn, Andrea, T-Dog, Merle, Jacqui, and Morales left because I asked for them to go to Lori's house and get some of his clothes and stuff and to get some of mine from my aunts house, but I told them to make sure he got the watch I was gonna give to Carl.

He had been wanting a new watch for a while so I got him one. I sliped out of Carl's grasp and he groaned. "Where are you goin?" Carl yawns.

"Use the restroom stay here I promise I'll be back." I say and Carl nods. I run over to Lori "Its Carl's birthday what are we gonna do?" I ask.

"Well nothing much." Lori says.

"I asked Glenn to look for Rick. Carl said all he wanted for his birthday was to be with me and Rick. If Glenn fines Rick Carl might be happy again." I say.

"Hopefully." Lori says.

"Remember that watch Carl wanted?" I ask. "I got it for him. Glenn is gonna get it." I say and Lori nods. "I better go wake him up." I say.

"Okay." Lori says.

I go to Carl. I sit down next to him. "Hey wake up." I say and shake Carl lightly.

"Carl come on." I say while look at his sleeping face. Carl eyes flutter open "Happy birthday." I say with a smile.

"Oh that's today?" Carl asks and I nod "thanks." Carl says with a frown.

"What's wrong?" I ask as he sits up and I lace our fingers together and hold his hand in mine.

"My dad isn't here." Carl says with disappointment in his voice.

"I know I'm sorry but I got Glenn and all the others who went out with him today to look for Rick." I say and Carl nods.

"Thank you for that effort Mia." Carl says and kisses my cheek.

"You don't have to thank me." I say. After we went find Sophia and just sorta talked.

We heard some guy on the radio but lost him. Then after a few more hours we heard this car making this loud noise coming towards us. The car came to a stop and Glenn ran out of it. We started yelling at him to turn it off while Amy was asking where her sister was.

"She's fine! she's okay!" Glenn yells over the roar of the beeping. Shane turned off and anther car pulled up.

"Andrea!" Amy cried as she joined her sister and all the others joined their families too. I looked at Carl to see him start to get tears in his eyes.

"Carl it's gonna be okay." I say and hug him. he hugged me back until we heard anther door slam. I turned my head to see the person I knew wasn't dead, the person I knew would find us, the person Carl was just sad about. It was Rick.

"Carl look." I croak. Carl looked at Rick. Rick pointed at us then rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing correctly

"Carl, Mia Lori!" He says as he starts to cry.

"Dad!" Carl yells as we run towards Rick. He hugs us and Lori comes running towards Rick too.

"I've missed you so much!" Lori says and kisses Rick. He let us go and hugged her really tightly.

"Mia is this the guy? I got him because he is just how you described so..." Glenn says and I nod.

"Yeah this is him!" I say with a smile. Carl hugged me "Because of you my dad is back" Carl says and I hug him back.

After that it started getting dark and we made a fire. Carl sat with his mom and dad and I sat by myself. I wanted them to have some family time, but seeing everyone with their family's makes me sad.

I miss my family.

I stand up and turn my back towards everyone as I walk towards the RV. A few tears fall down my cheeks. "I miss you so much momma and everyone else at the farm." I whisper as I wipe my cheeks.

No one noticed I was gone so I didn't even hide it. I was sad and I just needed to let it out so I did. I sat down and started crying. I miss them all. My momma, my grandpa, grandma, nanny, uncle all them.

"Wait where's Mia?" I hear Daryl ask and automatically sit up. "Where the hell is she?" I hear him ask agin.

He was really sweet and protective over me. Lori sits up.She sees me crying and runs towards me.

"I miss them so much!" I cry and Lori hugs me as more tears fall out of my eyes.

"Shh I promise we will find them. Were gonna go to the farm soon." Lori says and Carl walks up behind her.

"I should've never came here! I knew I should've stayed at the farm no matter what!Now look I don't even know if my mom is alive!" I say as Carl frowns then runs off.

"Carl!Don't make this into your problem!" Rick yells obviously angry.

"Great now Carl's mad because I said I shouldn't have came here!" I say and Lori rubs my back with her hand.

"Shh it's okay." Lori says and sits down next to me. Daryl walks over to me and picks me up

. "I promise I will help you find who ever you are looking for and once I find them I'll bring you too them so your happy." Daryl says and places me down next to him.

I stand up "Im gonna go to my tent." I say. I walk to me and Carl's tent and see him laying down while crying.

"I knew I wasn't good enough. I never am." Carl cries. I walk in and make sure he dosent notice since he's facing his back towards me. I sit down next to him quietly. "Im such a screw up" he cries and I run a hand threw his hair. He jumps and looks at me.

"You are good enough you always are, and you are not a screw up. Carl I love you and I'm never gonna leave you." I say and kiss his temple. I put his head on my lap and play with his hair. He grabs one of my hand and puts it on his cheek. He holds it their and closes his eyes as he sniffles.

"Don't let me go." Carl whispers.

"Never." I whisper back as I kiss his forehead.

"Can I tell you something?" Carl asks.

"Baby you can tell me anything." I say.

"I.... nothing." Carl says.

"Babe tell me." I say.

"I... i love you." he says and i smile. I knew that wasn't what he was gonna say but I'll just leave it I moved Carl's head off of my lap and laid it on a pillow when he fell asleep. I laid down in front of his and wrapped my arms around him.

"Goodnight love." he whispers and I smiled. we we're al back together now I just needed momma and everything would be okay.
