27. All-nighter

*Earth POV*

I got to the restaurant fifteen minutes before the meeting time and waiting for New to come to the same corner table as yesterday. New came after ten minutes and sat down at the table silently.

"Hey, New." I said.

"Hey." New said.

"Why are you so calm?" I asked him since he wasn't saying anything.

"What do you want me to do?" New asked.

"For what?" I said.

"The apology... I want you to believe me that I am sorry so I will do anything you say." New said.

"Ohh... that... Nothing." I said.

"Nothing?? Then you won't believe me?" New said sadly.

"I mean you don't have to do anything. I believe you... that you are sorry." I said smiling.

"You really believe me?" New asked.

"Yeah. I am not angry with you and I was the one in the wrong first anyway." I said.

"Are you okay... with what happened with your friend?" New asked cautiously.

"Yeah... I am okay." I said.

"And you... don't go saying around that you will do anything the other person says." I said with a frown.

"What's wrong with that?" New asked confused.

"Everything... people can take advantage of you..." I said.

"Nothing like that's going to happen." New said smiling and I sighed hearing that. You stand up for others but you are just clueless when it comes to you... huh... 

The waitress came and gave us the two drinks I ordered saying "Your order, sir." and then left the table.

"So... why did you ask me to come here?" New asked.

"Last time you left for your part-time job leaving me all alone so I called you today for company." I said smiling.

"Sorry about that... I was a bit angry at that time." New said.

"You can think of this as your apology." I said smiling.

"I take back my words I said that time Earth..." New said looking down.

"It's fine... I started to understand other's feelings a bit." I said.

"So, do you like the drink?" I asked drinking.

"Yeah... It's nice." New said.

"Is it time for your part-time job?" I asked when New was checking the time on his phone.

"Yeah. I have to go." New said.

"Should I drop you?" I asked.

"No. I am fine." New said and left the restaurant and I left for the dorm.

*After a week*

*Tay POV*

There was about one week more for the exams to start and I was only able to learn some of the subjects. I think I won't pass if this keeps up since I am not able to concentrate. I guess New was really worried about Earth when he was drunk like that. Is he worried about me passing in the coming exams too? Should I ask him to teach me more... What the hell am I thinking... I can learn on my own and it's just a stupid mid-term... I don't need him to teach me more...

"Tay?... TAY!!" New shouted.

"Stop daydreaming and study." New said when I came out of my thoughts.
