40. Campus King and Queen

*Tay POV*

I woke up slowly opening my eyes to see New's face and lips so close to mine with only a slight distance between us.

"Oyy!!" I said shouting while turning away from him and throwing his hand away from me.

New held his thrown away hand in pain and said "What the hell?"

"What were you doing?" I asked frowning.

"You were the one who wasn't letting me go." New said.

"Why would I do that? I already told you to go back to your room... not sleep beside me." I said.

"I am not dying to sleep beside you... you were running a high fever so I took care of you but then you grasped my hand and didn't let go... my hand is numb now." He said holding his hand.

"Uhh... fine... thanks for taking care of me." I said reluctantly and he smiled brightly.

Then he sat on the bed suddenly and put a hand on my forehead so I said "W-what are you doing?"

"Checking the temperature... you still have a bit of fever so you have to rest for today." New said.

"I am fine." I said.

"No... you are staying in bed and that's final." He said and I couldn't say no anymore.

"Sleep for some time. I will get you something good to eat." He said and went away.

Since there was nothing else to do I slept for some time.

*New POV*

I started preparing something for Tay to eat and in the meanwhile called Pluem on my mobile.

"What is it?" Pluem asked.

"Need a favor." I said.

"You always ask favors from me all the time... anyways shoot." He said sighing.

"Take permission for me for not attending the university today." I said.

"You are not coming? Yesterday also you were there in his room... just what are you doing there?" Pluem asked.

"Come on. It's just a small one." I said.

"Fine." Pluem said and then cut the call.

Then I called Gun on the mobile.

"Hellooo." Gun said with a sleepy tone.

"Are you up?" I asked.

"No... you woke me up." Gun said sleepily and I chuckled.

"Tay is having a fever so he won't be able to attend the university today... take permission for him." I said.

"Fever?? He was fine yesterday." Gun asked surprised.

"He came drenched in the rain looking down. I didn't ask him anything about what happened but I think he's okay now." I said.

"Hmmm... Are you taking care of him today?" Gun asked.

"Yeah."

"What about the university then?" Gun asked.

"I asked Pluem to take permission for me... if you guys take permission for both of us at the same time the homeroom teacher is going to doubt it." I said.

"You are right... my friend isn't called the smartest person just for show..." Gun said chuckling and I also chuckled.

"...only when it comes to studies." Gun completed the sentence from before and laughed.
