The sun was setting, it's orange hue setting the scenery on fire as seen in cheesy romance movies, but the fire the sun made was no match for the fire of battle that two boys would commence soon! Two small creatures, a blue wingless dragon called Dreamer and an orange ant lion with starry eyes with a huge freaking mouth called Trapinch were facing each other down, with their masters behind them standing proud and prepared.
These two boys were over dramatizing a simple scuffle!
"You're the one who made us like this Author..." John exclaimed, getting the strategy for the fight in his head fully prepared.
"Shut up." I responded, not wanting to ruin my divine existence.
"Dreamer, Headbutt!" Kokiri shouted, and the little dragon obeyed, by sprinting full speed in the direction of Trapinch and lowering it's head Dreamer plans on hitting Trapinch with it's strongest attack!
"Trapinch catch him in your Jaw!" The little ant lion obeys as well, and doesn't hesitate to drop it's jaw and snap up Dreamer when he got close enough, Dreamer's attack failed and his head was now trapped in the dangerous jags of Trapinch's mouth.
"Dreamer, use ember!" Kokiri had planned for this technique, with Trapinch's throat exposed to Dreamer the little dragon can breath a small bit of fire right down to it's critical areas. Trapinch suffers major damage and in it's blind rage tightens it's jaw on Dreamer with the force to pulverize solid stone.
"Trapinch! Don't risk another Ember! Throw Dreamer away!" John shouted, worried that both Pokemon will be killed or badly wounded. The little ground-type obeys though and tosses the dragon up into the sky.
"Dreamer, You'll need to evade this next attack Trapinch throws at you!" Kokiri shouted, worried that he'll lose or that the well being of his friend will be harmed. Dreamer knew that without wings he couldn't simply fly out of the way, and that his Ember attack didn't have enough kick for a perfect timing. So he did what he could.
"Trapinch, use your head as a bat and knock him as far as you can!" John shouted out, seeing his victory approach, but Dreamer's mind worked like a computer, and it countered Trapinch's attack with it's strongest move. Headbutt.
The two physical attacks connected head on (HAHAHAHAHAHA get it? Because they hit each other with their heads!) forcing shock waves through their two craniums but then physics took over, and Dreamer was sent flying farther than expected. Trapinch was on the ground, with full leverage over the swing, unless Dreamer's neck had as much power as Trapinch's whole body there was no way that it could have even been a draw, and instead it was like Dreamer headbutting a steel wall, which doesn't hurt all that much for Bagon.
"Pull yourself together find that Trapinch, it burrowed underground!" Kokiri shouted back to Dreamer. John once gave an order to Trapinch that if his opponent ever let Trapinch out of their sight it must burrow underground and ambush when he gets a chance, but until then turn the battle field into Trapinch's favor, like a sand pit.
Trapinch is an expert in digging it seems, as he dug through the dirt he could hear everything that was going on above him. The dirt was unnatural though, it couldn't bear the sticky feel of dirt, if only there was some clean way to dig. That was when the Bagon stepped above Trapinch. Trapinch knew what it must do as if instinct told it what to do. It openned it dug deeper and then dug as fast as it can straight up and when it poked out of the ground it sent Dreamer flying straight up, this is when Trapinch opened it's maw again and snapped it down on Dreamer.
"YEA!" John cheered, glad that things were turning out in his favor.
"Dreamer! Use Rage to try and escape!" Kokiri shouted, not sure how to get out of this one. Reality soon set in though when the dirt around the clearing caved in a little, creating an arena trap. And nothing escapes in an Arena Trap from Trapinch except flying things.
"Enough, Don't need to harm Dreamer any more, I declare loss." Kokiri gave up, the battle had no real punishments so there was no point in a deathmatch.
"Huh? Alright, let Dreamer go. We won!" John shouted and cheered as Trapinch put Dreamer down and smiled as if saying "Good Game!" which Dreamer just kinda looked ashamed of getting the compliment.
"Well the sun has set, we should heal up with our current berry supply then head on to route 103." Kokiri suggested, but John was already fixing up Trapinch a smile on both their faces. Because the moon was bright.
"Sure, but we never found the pokemon you were mentioning here." John said while Trapinch was nuzzling his chin.
"Heh, that's fine. I heard that's it's total trash." Kokiri chuckled and treated to Dreamer's wounds.
"Alright then. Let's hurry up, Someone heard our battle and I can see the town's people marching here." John stated.
