Dearest Darlings,
So, Prince Larry is open to Prince Laurent's "Off The Wall" idea, non ? Or should that be "Oui" ? Anyhoo ........ What will it entail ? How will it affect their little Prince ? If Prince Larry agrees, how will it affect him personally ? His and Laurent's relationship ? Will the end result be worth the hardship they may have to endure .......
Laurent looked at the time. It was 12.15. Larry didn't know it yet, but Laurent had arranged a meeting at a P.R. firm downtown, at 2 p.m. He had invited the best of the best, the people he trusted, or that were recommended to him by people he trusted.. The P.R. firm had worked with the Royal Ballet, and many celebrities that had their head screwed on right. Lawyers that were affiliated with that firm, that had high success rates in the civil law arena. A security firm, who would provide them with body guards, and Dr. Marshall, who would be happy to handle anything and everything regarding Larry's and the baby's health and well being. He would also be a liaison with the medical community at large, who were already clamouring to get their hands on Larry. And they wouldn't, unless Dr. Marshall gave the go ahead. All Laurent had to do was persuade Larry to go. All he had to do.
"So, what's the plan ?" asked Larry, quite excited about what lay ahead. For now.
"We go public. With everything. We don't hide, waiting for them to find us, cowering in a corner, we go to them, and shove US down their throat." He sounded like a man possessed.
"What do you mean, everything, Lau ?" Larry could only glare at him. "And it'd be me, not us." He looked worried.
"Well, yeah, You and the baby is what they'd be interested in, but I'd be with you, literally holding your hand, if you want me to." He looked a bit perplexed as to why Larry wouldn't be as excited as he was. Laurent was used to whoopin' ass, in his professional life as well as his personal life. He was confident, secure in his own being, happy and outgoing, and he was good with people, with the public, with the media and the world at large. Larry had not been so fortunate. He had led quite a sheltered childhood, was encouraged to feel insecure, had to fight for everything he had, both personally and professionally, and he found it more than frustrating to talk with people. Not only did he not suffer fools gladly, he didn't suffer them at all. Laurent tried to continue.
"We would involve anyone who wanted to know about us in our everyday life. Blogs, vlogs, doctors appointments, shopping, interviews, everything" Larry looked at Laurent like he had lost his mind. Laurent took Larry's silence as affirmation to carry on. "First, we go to Dr. Marshall, and we hold a press conference at the hospital. The medical community is already going crazy about you, Larry, you know this." Larry is still giving Laurent the evil eye, a sideways glance. He carried on "We employ a really good P.R. team. I know one that the R.B. has dealt with in the past, they've done a really good job with celebrities, too."
"I don't want to be a celebrity, Laurent" Larry interjected, recognizing the start of a feeling that this wasn't such a good idea, after all.
"My love, you don't have to be. We only do as much, or as little, as you want to. But it's either this, or we become hermits. If we hide, cower in a corner, try not to be seen, we WILL still be seen, and the haters will have a field day. This way, we get people, supporters, "fans", on our side, and feel the love, everyday. The P.R. company will set everything up. Social media, interviews, the medical response, appearances, interviews, endorsements. We'll have a team of lawyers, in case we need to sue anyone ..." OK, enough was enough, Larry was done.
