~chapter 24~:{ Me and him?}

< A couple of weeks later>

Kazuno's pov:

After the day of the meeting the middle schoolers and high schoolers are all learning to get more and more associated with each other. We have too as both Haru and Cyco now sit with us at lunch everyday since Quil called them over. But sadly that ended with Emi not sitting with us anymore due to her and Cyco's relationship with each other and at this point I decided to take matters into my own hands as me and Emi had a sleepover over at her dorm.

We spent most of the night doing school work as I was suuuuper behind and needed her help on a lot of things. But soon stoped doing work and just started talking.

[Kazuno]- "Why don't you sit with us anymore?...,at lunch I mean.."

Emi hesitates answering as she takes a sip of her drink from a straw.

[Emi]- "you already know why so why are you asking me this?"

I sigh as I scoot closer to her.

[kazuno]- "then tell me why you guys Aren't close to each other.."

Emi holds the bridge of her nose as she takes in a shaky breath.

[Emi]- "Cyco has no future if she tries to be like me..., I keep her away in order for her to be better than me..because that's what she is ..,but she's trying to be like me so if I'm mean to her then she won't want to be like me anymore..."

I chew on my lip as I think of a way to understand more about the two of them without prying to much.

[Kazuno]- "but..Cyco isn't herself..is she?..."

Emi sighs as she drop her gaze to the floor while shaking her head.

[Emi]- "I'm a horrible person ..,aren't I?!"

Emi asks as she brig is to cry and I instantly hug her tightly.

[Kazuno]- "Hey no.no,no,don't say that...you were only doing this to protect her..,there's nothing wrong with that at all.."

Emi nods as she sniffles while keeping her gaze away from mine.

[Kazuno]- "though if it was me..I would try to reconnect even after so long...I've never had any type of siblings around..but having the group around gives me an idea on why it's like..,and no matter how messed up it can e at times..,I'm happy to at least see that you guys are okay..."

[Emi]- "I don't want to talk about it anymore..."

I nodded as she soon left to the bathroom to change as I changed in the room only to see that she came back out without saying another word as she headed straight to bed. I stayed awake for awhile as I went to her balcony area just to get some fresh air.

[Kenji]- "oi!~"

I jump at the sudden voice as look over to see kenji on the balcony as well as he uses his hand to signal me to step back. As to why I have no idea.

Suddenly I watch as kenji shape shifts into a cat as he jumps over to the balcony I was on before shapeshifting back to normal. I smile before hugging him tightly.

[Kazuno]- "What are you doing here?"

Kenji pulls away as he just shrugs as a response. I chuckle as we look back into the sky while leaning on the rim of the balcony slightly.

[Kazuno]- "I tried talking to Emi about her and Cyco,but I think I might have made things worst.."

Kenji shakes his head as he holds my hand only to make it slap myself.
