Well. I guess it's better than the last one, but only slightly.
Let me explain. Aurora is positive, shy, emotional, sweet, accepting and Shang is none of the above. Shang is a Warrior, and not the same way as Mulan. Mulan is still a quirky weirdo, while Shang, who in all honesty is a dork, has to be this serious guy most of the time to make sure that the Chinese Government could uphold their Honor. One of the reasons why I like Mulan x Aurora, is because I feel like Mulan just fits so perfectly with Aurora. Aurora needs someone strong who is willing to fight a Dragon for her, but also a funny and charming Person who she can be happy with. Mulan is that Person. She literally fits that exact criteria. I feel like if Aurora ever saw the way Shang trained his Soldiers, she would get spooked because she can't handle loud noises well.
I don't know, I'm really bad at expressing myself, I just think Shang is a little too... confident for her, I don't know.
6/10, better than Phillan.
